We didn't reach a definitive conclusion, and it is unlikely that the church will publicly provide clarity to the situation.

Thanks, Aliska. I've been very involved in situation in Spain after the bombings and consequently have been off of the religion forum for a couple of weeks. The Time article was surprisingly good, and mentioned a lot of - er, inconsistencies.

I just wish at least one bishop would challenge him. That would be all it would take. The fact is that most Catholics, even after 40 years of Vatican II go-with-the-secular-flow indoctrination, would follow the lead of that bishop in a heartbeat.

I hope the Vatican and the US bishops realize this. They are underestimating their power when it is combined with the truth.
