[history]
On any given day, Juan Francisco Aparicio will drive his children to the doctor's office, his wife to the grocery and himself to work. Yet, he doesn't have a drivers license.
He can't apply for one because he doesn't have a Social Security card, which he can't get because he is not a legal resident. He moved to Illinois seven years ago from Sacatecas, Mexico, and, like hundreds of thousands of undocumented workers who lack a license, drives a car anyway. Every day.

Too bad the other states can't just refuse to accept licenses from Ill-e-NOISE as valid identification.

Maybe they'll all leave for Illinois. Oh Thanks a bunch--just what we need. But seriously, can't they just get an international driver's license if they want anyway and that would be good anywhere. I've heard about these kinds of driver's licenses, but know nothing about them.

Illinois, the mess in the Midwest.I live in Southern Illinois and refer to Chicago, from whence our troubles begin, as "Los Angeles by the Lake".

The Feds are not enforcing immigration law, the illegals have no respect for our laws or sovereignty, a lot of American employers have no respect for our laws either and they don't mind abusing the illegals they hire. This has left me disgusted with the whole sorry lot of them. Does this mean we can ignore the laws we don't like?

Shaking my head. IL learned nothing from the RINO George Ryan's licenses for bribes scandal.

Don't know. Saw big families at the grocery store at the Lake.

Does this mean we can ignore the laws we don't like? That works for me. The older I get the less time I would spend in prison anyway, no matter the length of the actual sentence! So, what the heck! Let the games begin.

But I thought this kind of pandering to criminals only happened in California? Sarcasm.
This is so out of control.

while his wife visits WIC, a social service agency that helps pregnant women and women with childrenSurprise, surprise, surprise!!! This is more common than not --- the biggest draw are our vast and very generous handout programs. Losers from Mexico obviously love the free handouts and lately they seem to outnumber those coming to work hard.

Finally, the border needs to be clamped down, pronto.Vicente Fox says no to that --- and he apparently has a whole lot more say than the American people do.

Give it time, pretty soon they'll be jumping through your windows like at Rove's house.
I understand Indianapolis Indiana, your neighbor, just put up a nice new Mexican Consulate last year. Seems the only ones seeing this coming in the Mid West were the Mexicans.

It's not just medical costs. Schools are cutting back on programs for Academically Gifted student citizens, so they can pay for more English as a Second Language classes for all the illegals who go to our public schools but can't speak English.
Which reminds me. Did any of you guys read the article about a month or so ago about the school bus that goes to the border in CA, and picks up illegals that cross over to go to school each day? The article said the local govt looks the other way, because the more bodies, the more money the school district gets. Parents of that school system are stark raving mad, but no one wants to listen to them. Unbelievable.

This is so out of control.Like a cancer, this illegal immigration invasion has spread and our PC politicians has been its enablers. Its quite disheartening.

the biggest draw are our vast and very generous handout programs. Fitz, you've been saying this as long as I can remember. It just amazes me that more citizens are not outraged that their taxpayer dollars are being used to entice more parasites to come here and mooch resources.

I do remember reading about that. Until somebody in authority starts enforcing the law, scams like this will go unopposed.
It's not just medical costs. Schools are cutting back
Also many are in our prisons have a high percentage of illegals. Add that on to the cost.

They just deported one of my neighbors --- but the bleeding hearts don't need to fear --- he'll be back. His live-in girlfriend here --- also illegal has 4 kids which she had for the welfare checks -- and his machismo of course. I don't know the reason but they have another man (also not her husband) --- with papers but not a citizen listed as the father --- maybe it's easier to collect welfare if one parent is here legally? That man doesn't work so also doesn't pay --- but he isn't the father --- at least they say he's not. The illegal girlfriend has never worked in the USA --- unlikely she'll ever be deported but we'll support her and any more children she plans to have.
