LIBERAL RADIO IS FINISHING IT'S FIRST HOUR! OH MY GOSH!

Whoever said that liberal radio couldn't be entertaining certainly hasn't listened to the first hour of this "monumental event". This show is so bad. Just to amuse yourself with what the liberals want to air in a head-to-head showdown against Rush Limbaugh, give it a listen. It will make your day. Needless to say, no worries of success here.

LOL. That sounds like the "Gators" radio routine from Dave Barry's "Big Trouble".

Host: What are you calling about?
Caller: You said Gator fans didn't have the guts to call, but I'm a Gator fan, and I'm Calling.
Host: OK, you're on the air. what do you want to talk about?
Caller: I called to tell you that you said Gator fans don't have the guts to call, but I'm a Gator fan, and I'm calling
...
Repeat endlessly.

Methinks the strategy isn't so much to inform and persuade with this radio network, but rather as a vehicle to launder rumors, innuendo, accusations, and lies. It gives the media another avenue beyond 'sources say', 'anonymous administration officials', 'experts suggest', and 'some believe', adding a layer of implied legitimacy (where none actually exists.) Also another forum to test, polish, and put forth soundbites, slogans, and ridicule schtick, with the most successful then to be picked up by the mainstream media, presented as 'a growing movement in the culture' speaking. 'Listening to America' baloney.

Excellent analysis. I totally agree.

All of this dovetails nicely with the "non-partisan grassroots" advocacy groups popping up like tribbles to spout their propaganda and avoid CF laws--all of them incestuously tied to the usual DNC operatives and new sugar daddy, George Soros.

Franken's ad rates are $1600 a minute as opposed to Rush's $16,000 +. Why not have the Bush-Cheney Campaign buy some ad time on Franken's show? Would that not be a hoot???????

Also how long are the contracts for the air time and stars. Franken's contract expires right after the election from what I've read. If the majority of the talent's contracts only run that long and the contracts to buy air time then the network is a sham and probably can be challenged under the FEC campaign finance laws about advertising. The network would be in effect a fraud

Marconi didn't invent radio but the same guy that made AC power possible did. Tesla holds all the majority of the fundamental patents on radio and won judgment after judgement against Marconi and Edison.

Of course.
They are doing such a wonderful job of educating the electorate, that they know lib Americans wouldn't understand anything they said or did.

If the NPR audience shifts to liberal talkradio, then it'll be interesting to see how long NPR can hang on to its money sources, which are not "advertisers" but "friends of NPR".

To whom is liberal talk radio a threat?

I remember a funy story from the Viet Nam war eara. One of the Am stations in Cleveland went pretty left wing and anti war during the Viet Nam war.

Back then the FCC was very tough on the use of off color words. Remember Jack Parr walked out on his show because they would not let him say Water Closet.

Well Jane Fonda flew into the Cleveland airport and this station put her on live from the air port. They did not bother to use the 10 second tape delay. And Jane in her first sentence used the John Fing Kerry word... out loud and plain as your nose.

The station was scared to death. Their washington attorney advised that they turn themsleves in to the FCC before they got complaints. So the station wired the FCC their confession and their position that it was not willful. They did not expect Jane to use the F word.

The funny thing was the FCC did not receive a single complaint.. Neither did the station.

Some one asked my why no one complained. I said it was simple .. no one was listening.

The FCC did not fine the station on the grounds that they could not reasonably expect that Fonda would use the F word on live radio and to take any action they needed a complaint. They never got one. NO one has ever listened to liberal radio. NO one will now. 'tapor

No offense, but Telsa hasn't been holding anything since January 7, 1943.
