This is fine if you want to catch someone alive--like a high-level terrorist planner--so that you can "extract" intelligence information. But it's absurd to suggest you would use this against any common soldier or terrorist (particularly a suicide bomber). For these low-level combatants, bullets, genades, or bombs are by far the best weapons.

Proof once again that Mother Nature still makes the best weapons! I have been in stores and heard babies scream - it goes right to the central nervous system.

The actual sound used is a recording of a baby's scream played backwards.

While the sound gun will normally be fired at just 110 decibels - a level that causes the human skull to vibrate - it can travel as far as 300 yards at 145 decibels. The human threshold of pain is usually between 120 and 130 decibels. Let's put a big honkin' Linear amp on it and see if we can hit 160db, maybe we can get them to explode!!!
