The news has gotten so childish. Don't tell me this contoonist does not understand the distinction between appearing on TV or radio and giving testimony before congress.

There is no honesty in the pres anymore. It is absolutely sickening.

Y'know, I might get flamed for this, but if I were advising Bush, I would have his people get up and play the race card with this Condi-bashing going on.

It would be amusing to see the democraps and the media fall all over themselves harrumphing about how ridiculous that is...wouldn't that be great?

This smile should be place on Gore's and Clinton's face too! The exact same thing applies!

I called the Press-Gazette (I live in Green Bay) and gave them a piece of my mind. Told Mike Hoeft, the Press-Gazette editorial page editor, that if Condi Rice was a Democrat Heller wouldn't have dared drawn such a cartoon.

The thing is, she has ALREADY testified before Congress and the 911 Committee, for four solid hours. But it was secret, classified testimony, not in a forum where she could be ridiculed and chastised like an errant child in full view of millions of Americans. Not only is this cartoon childish and snide, it's an out and out LIE. (Gosh, I really hate liberals.)

I won't flame you. You know that the dims would(and do) play the race card all the time. Turn abouts fair play. It is time to make them admit that is what they do.

Excuse me for asking, but what do you mean by "anymore?" I'll agree that it is degenerating farther into childishness, but the press has been dishonest a long time--at least since Cronkite's blatant lie about the Tet offensive.

One handy thing about this cartoon is it takes away from the upcoming argument the left might use that the 9/11 commission is not Congress. It was formed under them and as this ugly cartoon points out, is tantamount to same and therefore the privilege invoked applies.

This comes into play in light of the revelation that Clarke invoked the privilege back in 1999 and some lefties started parsing the "difference".

Rush said something really interesting yesterday on his show....he made a brief brush statement that the reason these liberals are so heated up on Condi Rice and one of the reasons why Hildabest has been quiet lately is to possibly knock Condi Rice out of the Presidential race in 2008.....something to think about....

IT would be fantastic! So would Rice testifying in front of this council and berating them because they dare attack a black woman. But, GWBush doesn't play politics with matters this important.

As much as it is frustrating because I so want Bush and the GOP to go on an aggessive attack, it is also very nice to see Bush holding to tradition and class.

All they have to do is site their hero Dickey Clarke who said he lied to the press for Bush but now he's telling the truth since he's under oath. However, I don't believe Rice is lying to the press. It's the obligation to answer questions under oath that breaches executive privilege and is the problem here.

I have no doubt this is one of their very strong motivations.

In 1988, I said that Condi would one day be President.

I agree as well, and I've wondered when/if race will become an issue on this point. No one has mentioned any possibility of Clarke having any kind of racist/sexist bias... I think if the shoe was on the other foot, the Democrats would be screaming that theory nonstop.

This is what passes as humor to liberals! By the way, I thought she did talk to the commission - for four hours! The RATS are the ones who envoke executive privledge at every opportunity. They didn't seem to mind when Clinton even tried to envoke it for his wife! And for personal, not security reasons! Not a peep from Demorats. These people are beyond revolting!

I've believed that to be true for quite some time now. The loathsome attitude from the Left goes back to the early days of the Bush administration. The Left in this country loathed the idea of two blacks in a Republican administration. The Left in this country has had it in with Condi from day one.

For me, as a very observant bystander, it's nothing new. It's only gotten worse as of late.

Some of the most twisted liberals are in Wisconsin - I think there's a twisted liberal factory in Madison.

I have read on other threads that Clarke was very upset about having to work for a BLACK, and a WOMAN. I have also read that he is gay, and upset about W's stand on gay marriage.
