Terri Schiavo Hospitalized With Apparent Puncture Wounds In Arm! Apparent Foul Play!
WFTV-ABC in Orlando | UNK

Posted on 03/30/2004 4:38:13 AM PST by MindBender26

In 7:25 break, anchor reported "Terri Schiavo was rushed to a Pinellas County emergency room last night after nursing home staff noticed puncture wounds on her arm. The wounds appeared to be caused by a hypodermic needle! Toxicology tests were conducted but the results are not available yet!"

This could open a huge new round in this case. What did tests reveal? Who was last person in room? When was husband there? Was staffer trying the Angle of Death routine?

This will be developing hard all day!

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't Law Enforcement Officers and their Departments EMPLOYEES of the State??? To my way of thinking the Attorney General should ORDER them to investigate or better yet, move them out of the way and investigate themselves!!

I see. You don't want to answer the question. Typical tactic of those who find they might be wrong on something, and can't admit they are.

In the Westerfield case, the Detectives in charge were 'close friends' with the Van Dams. They directed different units of the PD, not normally under their control, and did not let them share information.

Therefore what appeared to be BLOOD on the sidewalk, on the garage, on the garage foundation, was never examined by forensics.

WHY?

Someone (at least one) in the PD was controlling the case, from the beginning.

Principal evidence was ignored on purpose. This is not the result of stupidity.

The issue of knowledge here is the lack of it shown by SOME people here who would call themselves her supporters.

In 41 years of being involved in and reporting on issues and causes, from Pinellas County (the old WLCY and WFLA) to Vietnam, Chernobyl, and hundreds of places in between, I have never seen such a poorly planned, poorly executed attempt to influence the outcome of an event.... with the resultant poor results.

Accept the reality. The current plan is failing.

Wny?

There is an overwhelming patina of fools trying to get personal publicity, goofy causes coming together and lack focus on RESULTS in Terri's cause.

Terri needs the best help possible, but she is getting many too many loonies.

Most of all there is an overriding focus on "process," as opposed to "results." People think that sign waving and phone calling has some results. "Terri's Law" was passed due to intense political work by three well-placed Republican political women who have never appeared on FR, and many here would not even know their names.

The Gov and legislators who passed "Terri's Law" know it is built on Constitutional Quicksand, but they gave it a shot. Betting in Tallahassee is 80-20 that it will fall on appeal.

Face some realities:

1. This is a very ill woman.
2. The vast majority of the rumors surrounding the case are just that, rumors, and are untrue.
3. The husband's side LEGALLY has all the standing in Court. The parents have no standing other than the extraordinary relief the Courts might give, and that would require almost full cooperation of the husband.
4. Some of our side's stunts have been a disaster; the quacks, the "shoot the abortionists" parading, the crazy non-lawyer who wants to make Terri his ward in an appeal before the UN!
5. The other side is winning the legal battle. While we scream and shout and post, they quietly go about winning every motion hearing.
6. This will be decided as a LEGAL issue and matter, not as a faith issue.

Finally, of course, someone here will scream about this post. The reality is that we are losing and need to change methodologies if we expect to win.

The ultimate form of insanity is to repeat the same behavior and expect different results.

Someone needs to take charge, raise some money, get a fresh, smart "friend of the Court" claim started and do something that CAN win, not this current BS!

Don't get me wrong. I want Terri to live.

In order for that to happen, I want the current idiocy to stop. Some of her "friends" are playing right into the husband's hands with their self-serving antics.

If they don't stop, they will have Terri's blood on their hands.

Get smart. Get professional. Get going.

That's all I have to say about this.

I wish you and Terri the best of luck.... and she is in my prayers.... but she needs much more than our prayers.

Like it or not, the parents have made some incredibly bad legal, therapeutic and PR decisions.

I just got on this thread, haven't read most of the posts. I skipped over this far to get the latest.

But I just want to say, if you look at what these people have been through, these people who obviously love their daughter, I think any mistakes they have made are perfectly understandable. Had this been my child, I would have no sanity left, and neither would a lot of people. This whole affair has been nothing but sheer torture for them, and for Terri.

And for the people who sneer and laugh at people who care about Terri and her family (not you, Mindbender26), you better be careful. You never know what might be coming in YOUR future, and you might be grateful that a bunch of strangers takes an interest in what happens to YOU.

I would not even entertain the notion of treating my dogs the way Terri has been treated by her "loving husband" and his so-called lawyers. They might not receive justice in this world, but it will be coming.

LOL. Are you trying to tell me that you were hanging around your pro-death candidate to convert him/her? Nice try, but you're full of it and you know it. You were aiding and abetting... you certainly weren't on any kind of mission.

It really doesn't matter a whit what I think abou you, I'm a nobody. You should be honest with yourself, be truly apologetic to Him and repent.

So, when your "pro-life" buddies deliberately set out to elect a radical pro-abortion, pro-gay-marriage, tax-churches Democrat in lieu of a Republican who was insufficiently pure for them...how did they advance the cause of Christ? Please be detailed and specific in your answer.

It really doesn't matter a whit what I think abou you, I'm a nobody.

For someone who claims to be a nobody, you sure feel an obligation to share your brain drippings around the table...

You should be honest with yourself, be truly apologetic to Him and repent.

I can't WAIT until Judgement Day. You're going to be the dumbs**t who says to Him, "Hey, get out of my chair, jerk!"

Totally true.... but unfortunately meaningless.

Not to demean your feelings in any way. You are sympathetic and correct.... but this is war.

In a war, in any war, in the end, the victor's win and the losers die.

Right, wrong, truth and justice do not matter in this war or any war. Only victory matters.

Terri's supporters have to start winning, not just whining, or she will die.

Sorry, but that's reality.

I pray for victory, and know a change in tactics is required to achieve it.

Many of us do donate to Terri's cause. We write emails, phone calls, and letters. Even the Florida Congressmembers complain about their overflowing mail, email, phone calls etc, when they debated Terri's law.

We have more than rumors on this board. They are people who post here who are volunteers to Terri's organization. They lets us know what is going on as soon as they can.

Considering that Terri has been in this shape for 13 years, I think Terri's new supporters, including Freepers, have been instrumental in bringing the case to the public.

We have brought this case to the attention of various groups that have joined in on preparing the legal briefs for the Schindlers. I believe we make a difference. Putting down everyone on this board certainly does not help Terri's cause. And I don't see where you have suggested anything new.

About that bed sore, do her parents know for sure it's a bed sore or could it be something else? It could be caused by any number of intentional abuses and one such has been bothering me all afternoon. Could it be a burn? I wouldn't put it past someone who wanted to cause her intentional harm and then sit back while it gets infected and not allow medical treatment.

And you're exemplfying Mindbender26's point: this is a legal battle, that will be won or lost in a courtroom. Emails, phone calls, and letters are simply irrelevant, and accomplish (better sit down for this) absolutely nothing.

The LE found nothing? It's a little bit difficult to get 5 needle marks just by happenstance. Hmm, this bothers me more than if they'd found something. Seems like this only supports my supposition that her bed sore may be more than just a bed sore and that "someone" is intentionally harming her.

You apparantly need to spend less time arguing on FR. You're even more profane than before and seem "wrapped up".

God bless.

Our emails, phone calls, letters got Terri's law passed in the first place. Why do you think the media is interested? They are getting swamped with out mail.

We have gotten groups interested in her case that are doing something in the legal arena.

Why you two bother with this thread, I don't know. If you want us to back off with our tails between our legs, you haven't accomplished your goal. By judging your extreme reactions, we must be making a difference.

You need to answer the question I put before you instead of running away. You have this habit of ducking what should be a softball question for a man who claims to be Jesus' drinking buddy.

How did your buddies in the "pro-life" movement advance the cause of Christ when they deliberately threw an election to a pro-gay-marriage, pro-abortion, pro-tax-churches Democrat?

Our emails, phone calls, letters got Terri's law passed in the first place.

That law is merely delaying things--it's likely to get thrown out as unconstitutional. And your communications on the topic did far less than a few people who worked quietly behind the scenes.

Had the case been handled competently to begin with, it wouldn't have been necessary. But the Terry Schiavo soap opera addicts refuse to do anything that will be effective; they've become enamored with the process to the exclusion of results.

We have gotten groups interested in her case that are doing something in the legal arena.

Any damn fool can do "something."

I haven't seen anyone doing anything effective.

Why you two bother with this thread, I don't know. If you want us to back off with our tails between our legs, you haven't accomplished your goal.

I've gotten some of FR's most self-righteous jerks overtorqued at me. I've more than accomplished my goal.

By judging your extreme reactions, we must be making a difference.

You're making a difference, all right. You're helping Michael Schiavo.

There are also a lot of toxic substances that don't show up on regular tox screens

Exactly. There are chemicals the body automatically produces, but if there are more than the norm then they can be dangerous - adrenaline, insulin...
