Just wanted to post pictures of my new Baby Girl!
My wife was found to be suffering from Preeclampsia and the baby didn't have much amniotic fluid (would up even less!). Early delivery (32 weeks)was an absolute must for both Mommy and Baby.
Baby and Mommy are doing great!
Anna Elizabeth was born approximately 1:30 PM via C-section and weighs 3 lbs 11 oz.
Praise the Lord for the strenght he have us all and most especially to Baby Anna. Anna will get to come home when she reaches 4.5 lbs and is eating properly.
The Dr. is already backing off on the oxygen, as she is breathing very well on her own.

Just back from the Pediatrician - and other than Anna being VERY irritable (8 week shots...so not a surprise), all is well.
Length: 19 3/4 inches
Head measurement: 14 1/2 inches
Weight: 7 lbs 9 oz!
Hopefully she will get over her extended cry soon! Until next update....

A reasonably close guess would be that she is a bit over 9 lbs now. She's still a bit fussy - especially at night, but it's getting better. She actually went 6 hours at one stretch last night between feedings.
Her biggest problem lately has been gas.
Unfortunately, the mom's breast milk supply has pretty much dried up. She has given up the pump. We have run out of options on that regard, so Anna's now completely on formula.
A couple of pictures will be posted soon.
Gas is rough. There is a baby gas med you can get. I think most babies sleep all night around 3-4 months so hang in there. By 6 months she should be teething and thats even more fun than the gas. Little ones are a lot of work but all they have to do is smile at you and its all worth it.
We've got some gas medication for her...and it does some good.
But she is VERY gassy.

Wouldn't blame Diana if she did strangle you but its the kind of picture great memories are made of. Loved Anna's smile and the one with the 2 big caretakers on the bed with them. Great pics. My grandson was full of gas but the good news is that it does not last forever.

She might be lactose intolerant. Try a lactose free soy milk for about 3 days to see if the gas goes away. If you don't have the right enzymes or ability to deal with lactose, the E. coli in your gut digests it. The products of that digestion are acid and gas. The acid can cause intestinal cramping. The gas problem is obvious.
