You don't suppose North Korea might be involved some way? Either they supplied terrorists with weapons or they just might do something themselves.

U.S. War Moves Threatening Humankind's Existence

Pyongyang, March 29 (KCNA)

-- The U.S. imperialists, who are obsessed by world supremacy, are pushing ahead with preparations for a genetic and biological warfare in real earnest to exterminate other nations. It was exposed some time ago by Hatman, a famous writer and journalist of the United States.

According to him, the U.S. administration has worked out a plan for the "new century" while fundamentally reorganizing the U.S. forces so that the Anglo-Saxon race may exterminate other races and dominate the world through unconventional wars under the name of "military revolution" based on the up-to-date science and has hastened preparations for genetic and biological warfare in secret. As instructed by the U.S. administration, many nuclear centers have long been engaged in research into genetics of races and their destruction and the Department of Defence and other special institutions of the United States have deepened the study of "artificial selection of human beings" by "genetic bombs".

This fact is enough to unveil the true colors of the U.S. imperialists as the most horrible human killers and wreckers of the world peace.

If this is credible, then they're pretty confident if they're bragging about it already.

The USS Intrepid is a short row boat ride from that proven islamic base of operations known as New Jersey, and is also within spitting distance of the WTC. Though I'd expect the attack in September when the Pub convention is in town as well.

The best--and perhaps only--opportunity for terrorists to attack a carrier would be while the vessel is in port, or in an extremely narrow, high-traffic passage like the Straits of Gibraltar, or the Moluccan Straits off Malaysia.

And even under those circumstances, it's a very iffy proposition. The carrier never sails alone; it's typically surrounded by at least one Aegis cruiser, 3-4 destroyers and frigates, support vessels and a Los Angeles-class submarine. Their job is to protect the carrier at all costs; the air defense zone for the carrier battle group extends out 400 miles with fighter patrols; the SAM zone goes out almost 100 miles with the SM-2 extended range missile. Factor in radar coverage from E-2C Hawkeyes, the Aegis cruisers and destroyers, plus real-time intel from national sources, and you've got one of the most heavily defended assets in the world--extremely difficult to attack.

The suitcase nuke option would be a possibility, but that would require Al Qaeda to plant someone among the ship's crew and smuggle the weapon onboard. I imagine the Navy has tightened its shipboard security in the wake of 9-11, and some the recent spy cases at Gitmo. The LNG carrier is also a possibility, and detonating one at close range could cause tremendous damage, but (again), how could you get one close enough for an attack. Slamming a Zodiac into the USS Cole in Aden was one thing; carrying out an attack with an LNG carrier or an explosive-laded cargo ship is another.

"Arabic posting: "Tomorrow you will watch the destruction of an American Aircraft Carrier"

Real world translation: Tomorrow this Arabic source will be revealed as yet another in the endless stream of radical-Islamic liars.

They don't build cars. They don't build planes. They don't write professional software, and they don't tell the truth.

Ahh, it feels so good to know that stupidity still reigns in terrorism.

You should only gloat until after you achieve your objective.
