Tough call, I'd hope they'd shoot it down. But didn't the Carl Vinson shoot down an ?Iranian (or was it Iraqi) civilian aircraft awhile back. If the terrorists could get us to blow up another civilian Middle eastern aircraft it could really play havoc with the politics on the ground in that area.

Sobotage is the only way to harm a carrier. If sobotage occurs I see a mass purging of muslems from the armed forces.

A mine rising from the bottom of the ocean would have the best chance of hitting the target, IMO, given that the escorts would be looking up and out. How well is the ocean floor mapped in the region - there must be many sunken ships on the sea floor to confuse the issue.

...submit a flight plan that would take it over the carrier...That would be your weakest link.

I think there are several aircraft museums. New York has one, I think Texas has one.. we also have the museum-ified USS Texas battleship..

"On a highly technical note: it's pretty hard to destroy an aircraft carrier."
It was also pretty hard to destroy the World Trade Center.

An Islamic sailor with the wrong intent and right access onboard a carrier can do some nasty things.

My thought was multiple chemical attacks to disable the crew and then the physical destruction of the vessel by use of explosive.
To: narses
WTC was not surround by a Carrier task force to protect it.

How many islamic marines are there? Is there any screening? I thought not.
Don't trust anyone that's not islamic-free.
