NJ has some pretty good tomatoes in the northern part of the state too.

Other than the gardens of elderly Italians in Clifton and Nutley, where can I get good Jersey tomatoes in North Jersey?

Gotta love the fact that there are now Wineries in Sussex and Atlantic (!) Counties now.

Check out the big list of (organic) NJ farm stands and farm co-ops:
http://www.nofanj.org/farmlist.htm#njtop

Old Hook in Emerson gets a good selection of tomatoes in the mid summer, a few different heirloom tomatoes, and a few hardy nj specific varieties.

And if you want to take a nice long Sunday drive, well worth it, check out:

Stephens Farm
Berries, Eggs, Grains, Hay, Herbs, Pork, Poultry, Vegetables
467 Route 284
Sussex, NJ 07461

The website above has contact info, I don't want to post the owner's business line on here, it doubles as his kitchen phone I think!

A roommate in college was a chef at a local restaurant, talk about pilfering the seafood. Those were the days!
