I was waiting for this to go up. We're about t-minus one hour from it (depending on how long Duke-Xavier goes, I guess). Too bad it's not going to be a long interview like Clarke had. I've noticed that 60 Minutes are not promoting this either. The commercial I just saw advertised the story on soccer phenom Freddy Adu, not the story on Rice or Pickering. I also discovered from the link referenced above that Rice spoke to them this morning and not yesterday as I'd heard would be the case before. Bill Kristol predicted this morning that Rice might say that if this is really such a big deal that she'll testify in public under oath as she's been badgered to do. I don't think Bill has a good track record on predicting news, so take that with a grain of salt. By the way, go Xavier-- I had Duke losing before now in my office pool bracket, but my opponents have them winning it all.

She better not testify in public. That would drive me postal....All it would be is the DEm's grandstanding and putting her down; she'd have to stit there and smile. Total joke. If she was a dem and the Rep's treated her this way it would be non stop front page news about the racist repub's.

Does it really matter what she says? The media has already made up their mind. Lemme guess. They will treat her with utmost respect and then all the other networks will pick her apart as a liar....same ol s$%T, different program.

I've noticed that 60 Minutes are not promoting this either. Now thats a shocker.
Since Condi is going to grace us with her presence on 60 minutes I guess I'll break the straw and watch network media.

I agree, no public testimony for administration officials. Let Mansoor Ijaz do it for them.

No surprise 60 Minutes isn't plugging Rice - it doesn't fit their political perspective.
I was hoping Illinois would beat Duke. Am pulling for Xavier.

The media has already made up their mind. Their mind making has been rendered inefficient anymore, with Condi on 60 minutes only what she has to say will be the focus to the viewers.

Posting this on all 9-11 threads. Looking for an answer.
Whatever happened to the report that Phillipine intell found a plot in a Manila. The deal was to fly airplanes into buildings in the US. They turned it over to the US in 96 or 97, I think.
Is the commission hearing this. Did we take any action after that. How did these guys get into flight schools so easilly afterwards?

Since it's not live, I'm concerned about the editing the media (especially CBS) is famous for.

Give me a break! She absolutely should testify before the commitee. One, there's nothing lost if she does. And secondly, that would prevent the media and the dems from using her lack of open testimony as proof that there must be some substance in Clarke's lies!
To: breakem
Wasn't it something like "Project Bojinko?" It was brought up often here on FR.

She should tell the people that she will gladly testify in public, under oath, as soon as the congress gives up congressional immunity. As soon as they do, in writing, she will testify.

Ok, let me put it this way. The lib media and thier followers have already had a week of Clark's "Truth" and him being attacked by the Republicans. 60 Minutes isn't going to change anything in their minds by interviewing Condi Rice.
In fact, I don't even care what she has to say. I'm sick of it all. It doesn't matter who screwed up in the past, just FIX it and don't let it happen again!
