"George Bush has given us answers that don't answer, explanations that don't explain, and conclusions that don't conclude."
This statement alone shows how ignorant she is. It's high time that we make potential electees pass a "stupid" test to run for office. At a minimum, they need to understand basic economics, American History (non-revisionist version), and have a command of the english language. We need to have a "No Pass, No run" program in place.

She has definitely passed that point of no return. The last primary election was a real big clue, but she seems to have missed the point that her predominately white district is willing to vote for a black woman, but not her any longer. She carried-on, for over a year, on the floor of the House about her district being redrawn to make it predominately white and how unfair she was being treated, but was then reelected. She then became more and more anti-Semitic and that just doesn't fit with an enlightened public. There was also a lot of crossover voting to defeat her.

"The last primary election was a real big clue, but she seems to have missed the point that her predominately white district is willing to vote for a black woman, but not her any longer." Not to nitpick, but Georgia's 4th congressional district is hardly "predominatlely white", unless they've changed it.
Quite the oppostite is true...

Not only did Mckinney lose in a majority black district, she lost in a heavily democrat district that mostly lies within the city limits of Atlanta.
She had no one to blame but herself.

It is a predominately BLACK district.Their are a handful of Republicans that were geremandered into her district. The problem is the Republicans may prefer to stay in their own primary because that is where US Senate race will be decided as Dems do not have a creditable canidate. She and her dad are good at rallying the "HATERS".

" "This week, in explosive but sad testimony, the world watched as this country's top counterterrorism advisor Richard Clarke, Suuuure he is..and I'm General Patton.
"Two years ago Republican Party votes attempted to silence the voice of Georgia's Fourth Congressional District. They may have changed the face, but they didn't change the fact that the Democrats of the 4th Congressional District will not allow Republicans to select their representatives.
What, Jihad Cindy wants us to believe she lost her seat because all 36 republicans in the fourth district came up with a VRWC approved plan to cross over vote?
The fourth is majority black, majority democrat, and mostly lies within the Atlanta city limits.
Jihad Cindy's whine is akin to an NFL team losing at home to "West central high school for the deaf, blind, and metrosexuals", and then crying about it to the media.
Denise Majete can just sit back and relax, Mckinney's mouth will do all of Majete's campaining for her, for free.
To: leadpenny
>>BTW, Majette won the last time with 77% of the vote.
That was the general election. The primary against McKinney was the race, and it was a lot closer than that.

I stand corrected. I was going by the year of bellyaching that she did on the House floor. Sometimes late at night. She did get reelected, at least a couple of times. Is it possible that the redistricting lines have been redrawn? I do recall that there was a supreme court decision that affected her. She lost whatever was in dispute.

Oh, just damn. She's a pesky hemmohroid, ain't she?
I guess Nader squished her Green party presidential run, which was doomed to failure anyway. How "green" is "Cynthia Mckinney Highway"? The only green Jihad Cindy worships is the green donated by her Wahhibi buddies.
Ah well, I don't give her a chance in hell of winning the seat back, so let her waste all of the money and breath she wants. The more she talks in public, the more people become convinced of her "mental acumen".
To: RJayneJ
You're correct in stating the districts are being redrawn, but I believe we are returning to the pre-1996(RE:Not set up to ensure democrats get elected)district lines, which will negatively affect Mckinney. The fourth district was tailor made for Mckinney, and any change to it will take votes away from Jihad Cindy.
To: RJayneJ
Her original district was pretty much all black. The revised disctrict from that court case was largely so, but much more diverse. As an incumbent, she was able to hold onto it. As a challenger, in the face of an electorate that has become much more aware of where she stands, in a post-9/11 context, I don't think she stands much of a chance.
The district has not been recently revised.
