March 28, 2004 -- A group of New York families of 9/11 victims came out swinging against Richard Clarke yesterday, accusing the former White House anti-terror chief of cashing in on the tragedy with his explosive book. In a scathing open letter, the furious families also ripped Clarke for releasing the controversial tome to coincide with his appearance before the 9/11 commission on Wednesday.

Good for theses families. I'm glad to see they're speaking out. Too bad that the only media that will carry their story will be the NY Post.
To: kattracks
I agree...Other than Fox and maybe Scarborough, we'll NEVER hear about the letter.

Thanks God for these families. The Dims and the Media are just now beginning to realize what an albatross this vile man is.
Shame on Clarke, Kerry, the DNC, and the Liberal media.

Not every 911 family seems impressed with Clarke's self important apology for the failure of the government of the United States to stop 911.
Clarke's 60 Minutes appearance, testimony before the commission, release of the book in a week's time has the appearance of his profiting by selling tickets to a funeral and then charging the grieving family for giving the eulogy.

someone should picket CBS, viacom and Simon and Shuster in NYC with signs about the real expotation of 911...it is not President Bush.
I'd go if I lived in NYC or withing 100 miles.

Pick up the article and send it to your local talk host. It has to grow legs. I will do Nashville and Memphis.

But I am sure I heard Howard Fineman announce that ALL the WTC victim families will be voting democrat.
And if it comes from Fineman or Newsweak, then of course, it's gospel.

Just my paranoid opinion: I dont think Clark wrote his book. I dont think he even proof read it. There are too many contradicting points and there are errors even in the chronology of events. The Democrats MO are all over this.

Thanks for the ping! Wow!
Does this mean there are 9/11 families OTHER than the ones for Heinz funded "peaceful tomorrows" who complain about President Bush "using 9/11" in an ad?
Does this mean there are families OTHER than the ones who made the morning show circuit on the partisan media?
Does this mean there are families OTHER than the ones who applauded at the untruths told before the commission?
Does this mean there are families OTHER than the ones who want vengeance and more millions from the airlines?
Does this mean there are families OTHER than the ones who would probably sue the NYFD, the Port Authority and even Rudy Giuliani (but of course not their "junior senator from NY") for not saving them if it there was enough money in it?
Does this mean there are families OTHER than the ones who want to blame it on the president who has done more to protect this country from terrorist attacks in the past two years than the co-presidents and Terrorism Czar Clarke did in eight?
Does this mean there are families OTHER than the ones who want to see their Democrat elected even if it means the rest of us may have to suffer another terrorist attack on U.S. soil because of that candidate's weakness and actual opposition to eradicating the terrorist networks?
I may not be a "9/11 family" but I was in NY then and lost a good friend. Thank goodness for these people who now have spoken out for the rest of us.

Just in case anyone doubted whether the Democrat modus operandi is to accuse your opponent first of what you plan to do, then do it - here's your proof. Just juxtapose it with the insincere crying about Bush politicizing 9/11 in his ads just a few short weeks ago. I don't suppose anyone on that side is going to notice?
