[history]
The man who uncovered evidence the FBI tailed presidential candidate John Kerry for months in 1971 said some of those files were stolen this week.
Author Gerald Nicosia reported to police Friday that three of the 14 boxes of once-secret FBI files he obtained under the Freedom of Information Act were taken from his Corte Madera home.

Call Hillary, Gerald. She probably has a duplicate set.

Nicosia is not the only person who can get these files. Why hasn't anyone else reported on them? Surely there are other reporters and journalists who have accessed the files under the FOIA. Does anyone else smell that odor?

Money talks,
BS walks,
the files will never reemerge,
the investigative author will be none the worse
for the experience,
in fact,
he'll probably prosper.

What is the point of stealing copies?
Granted Democrats are drooling morons, but this is ridiculous.

Kerry's campaign manager was arrested on the eave of his first election for breaking into the building that housed his opponent. He of course claimed he was there because their campaign shared the same building
??? Opponents in same building? Sheesh.

Assuming they are still avalable. Jessie Jacksons court files mysteriously disappeared after the author of "shakedown" had examined them.

"The three files folders about John Kerry were taken," Nicosia said. "Those revelations are lost now, at least to me." Well, we know it couldn't have been Kerry. He was in plain sight falling down the mountain in Idaho and cussin out Secret Service agents...

"There's a range of possibilities. You could have your thrill seeker, like someone who wants a piece of the history," Nicosia told The Associated Press Friday in a phone interview. Something tells me he listed more than one possibility to the reporter since he frames it "a range of possibilites" and then the article lists only one--and the most non-controversial one imaginable.

If your files are stolen, don't call the FBI. They have already been there!

You can send a FOIA to see what someone else submitted via FOIA request. Absolutely. Lots of journalists do this to see what the competition is up to.

those were C-O-P-I-E-S...they are NOT lost to you forever!! I smell a turncoat. That's what I was thinking. Nicosia is a self-proclaimed Kerry supporter. He did tell a reporter he was puzzled by Kerry's denial of attending the KC meeting because the FBI files showed that's right where Kerry was on those dates. That forced the Kerry camp to admit if the FBI said it, why they guessed old John's memory was just fuzzy and maybe he was there after all.
Now, the Kerry camp also has demonstrated a willingness to contact such witnesses and put pressure on them to start singing a different tune. Maybe Nicosia just happened to have a break in--or maybe he's helping his guy.

"The three files folders about John Kerry were taken," Nicosia said. "Those revelations are lost now, at least to me." What, were they the originals? I doubt it. How about just asking for new copies under the FOIA?
To: Starve The Beast
Not saying it's not true but, let's wait to see how this shakes out before we get too far into speculation about it. Nothing worse than being taken in by an urban legend... or a partisan trick of some kind.I'm not following your thinking.
Are you claiming Nicosia didn't really have a break in? I and others agree, that is possible.
What's the "urban legend" part, though. The man has in fact reported a break in and in fact reported what's missing: Files on John Kerry. There are two choices: He either really had files stolen or he's conveniently lost them and reported them stolen.
As to the partisan trick--the dems playing a trick on themselves?
I don' get what you're trying to say here.

he should be able to resubmit his FOIA request and obtain them again. Would anyone like to place a bet that:
A. The original files are now gone and will not be provided to a new FOIA request, and
B. Somehow any response to a new request will be delayed until after the election.
To: Sabertooth
These missing files are probably in the same storage locker as the FBI files Hillary! obtained as well as the Rose Law Firm records.
