(Tucson-AP) _ There have been at least 29 acts of sabotage of natural gas pipelines and other gas facilities in Pima and Pinal counties over the past three years.
The Arizona Daily Star says according to a search warrant, the acts have endangered the lives of thousands of residents.
There have been no injuries, however.
One of the acts, could have caused an explosion in SaddleBrooke _ a retirement community north of Tucson.
No one has been charged in that act, which the F-B-I considers an act of terrorism.
However, the F- 1/8B-I has searched the home of a former Southwest Gas welder who was fired in 1998. An F-B-I spokeswoman declines to say whether that man is formally considered a suspect.

That jumped out at me.
I knew quite a few Gas Co welders in Texas and Louisiana young-ish kids that were already well on the road to alcoholism and drug abuse (the ones I knew anyway).
Several of them had T-shirts with the company logo but theyd had them altered at the mall to have a message on the back that read If you see me running, try and keep up. Ha.
Sorta sad in hindsight because they were decent-enough kids, but theyd show up at work at 19 or 20 years old with a pint of vodka in them, loosened up and ready to go
Course, that might explain a few screw-ups that happened over the years too
