WASHINGTON (CNN) -- National security adviser Condoleezza Rice said Wednesday that administration records -- including former White House counterterrorism official Richard Clarke's own words and actions -- prove false his "scurrilous allegation that somehow the president of the United States was not attentive to the terrorist threat."

Bush should have "forcefully" fired Clarke when he took office. And Tenet. How many more are there that Bush kept on?
Agree completely. Bush's greatest failing as a leader was the lack of foresight in allowing Clinton holdovers to hang around and sabotage his administration.

[Rep. Ford] Was complaining about Fox releasing the back ground info said it wasn't fair.
Bob Kerrey started that yesterday just before his questioning of Clarke. Kerrey must have been alerted to it during the lunch break. He was whining that Fox shouldn't have aired it and the WH shouldn't have released it.
The Dems will do this like the Judiciary memo: It is the method of release that is the atrocity, not the contents.
So, which Pubbie gets to resign over the FoxNews tape being released?

That's right. That Condi Rice. The one whose resume undoubtedly puts your to shame. The one who would dissect you like a frog were you to ever have the guts to go up against her.
That Dr. Condi Rice - the National Security Advisor of the USA.

Democrats are smelling defeat. Ive been arguing this with liberals in a local group and have forced them to retreat to the old refuge of "why can't you get over bill clinton" only this time it doesn't work.
My kill shot..."if it has nothing to do with clinton, why has the 9/11 commission called him to testify"?

I think W believed that his reputation in Texas as a unifier (not a divider) got in the way. D.C. isn't Texas.

She is an intelligent, educated, well informed woman with a lot of class and morals. No wonder the RATS are after her.

You got to love that lady. I saw interview with her on Fox and Friends. She was brilliant and straight to a point.

Condi Rice has the class not to whine racism, which is exactly what any dim would do if this were a black democrat.

So, which Pubbie gets to resign over the FoxNews tape being released? None. Jim Angle flushed Kerrey's whining down the toilet on Brit Hume's show yesterday evening.
Let the Dems squeal about it. It sends more folks to FNC to check it out, and keeps Clarke's blatant lies in the headlines.

What if this is designed to get Rice....
It very well could be. Hillary would hate to face Condi in 2008.

I think we can all see the "do-nothing" Bush Administration is anything but do-nothing.
It was Clinton that did nothing. He was way to busy entertaining himself and selling out America. He just took up where Jimmah left off.

I think someone got to him too. Reminds me a lot of Scott Ritter. I still think that the person who has the most to gain here is Bill Clinton. He is the one with the most to lose with these hearings and with any disclosure regarding intelligence and terrorism during the past decade. He also needs to get Hill into the WH to further cover up what he doesn't want revealed about the abuses of his administration.

liberals hate her -- because they know they are wrong but for liberal to say he/she is wrong is a death sentence. Unless you pretend to be sorry and try to pull bs like Clark did. And of course we know it is total lie and nonsense. There are probably more words to describe them but I don't think it would be suitable to read :}
To: Coop
i think maybe this was planned by McAufull and possibly Carville. it would have worked if not for FOX and the taped briefing tape. without the tape they could say Condi's was just trying to spin it and a lot of people would believe it and vote for kerry.
