WASHINGTON - Regulators sued the QVC home-shopping channel on Wednesday, charging that it made deceptive claims about weight-loss products sold on the air.
The complaint from the Federal Trade Commission accused QVC of false advertising of For Women Only weight-loss products such as zero-fat and zero-carb pills. It also alleged unsubstantiated claims about Lite Bites "fat-fighting bars" and other weight loss or energy-boosting products.

I worked for the company that made the Lite Bites and Brite Bites. It was the same formula for both bars. Only the wrapping changed.
Yes they had the vitamin mix but they had as much sugar as a candy bar. You eat three of those a day and you are not going to lose weight unless you eat nothing else.
You were better off buying a bottle of Chromium at the store. I often wondered how they got away with it.
Oh, yes. There's that one old lady who peddles makeup and routinely says that she's including free gifts with your order. Guess she's in the game just for humanitarian reasons.
