The fan-voted awards show airs live from Nashville 8-10 p.m. EST April 21. CMT released the list of nominees Wednesday.
Keith is nominated for collaborative video for his duet with Willie Nelson (news) "Beer for My Horses." The video, which unfolds like a TV crime show, is also in the running for video of the year. Director Michael Salomon also was nominated for his work on the video.
Keith's other nominations are for "American Soldier," which is nominated in the male video and video of the year categories.
Chesney is nominated in the hottest video category for "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems," while his "There Goes My Life" is up for male video and video of the year.
Rascal Flatts' "I Melt" received nods for hottest video, group/duo and video of the year. Shot in Miami's South Beach area, the video caused a stir because it shows a brief glimpse of guitarist Joe Don Rooney's bare backside and revealing shower and bedroom shots of a female model.
Jackson's duet with Jimmy Buffett (news) "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere," is nominated for collaborative video and video of the year. The singer is also nominated for male video for his poignant "Remember When."
Shania Twain (news)'s "Forever and For Always" is up for female video and video of the year. Keith Urban (news)'s "Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me" is nominated for hottest video and "You'll Think of Me" for video of the year.
Country music icon Dolly Parton (news) will host the show, which has a more irreverent style than other country music events. It's closer in tone to its sister networks MTV and VH1 than to the award shows by Country Music Association or the Academy of Country Music.
Last year's award show drew one of the largest audiences in CMT's history with more than 8.3 million viewers.
And Allison Krauss isn't bad looking either.
