President Bush attended the Congressional Medal of Honor ceremony for Women's rights champion and civil rights leader Dr. Dorothy Height, who is 92 years old today. She served more than 30 years as the president of the National Council of Negro Women, an organization dedicating to uplifting black women and their communities.

President Bush spoke at the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Washington.

He accepted Jacques Chirac's invitation to go to Paris on June 5.

I hope for all our sakes that tomorrow both Laura and the President appear at some even and one of them introduces the other and there's a hug and a kiss involved. That would soothes some nerves!

Sweet dreams!

UUMMMMMM . . . mitochondrial cell division? The stages of labor? The direct relationship of IQ related to purchasing a Jaques strap in public?

:-)

I heard the part of the hearings where Tennet said that he meets with or briefs W on a daily basis.

Does anyone know if it's been mentioned in the hearings that Clinton only met with Tennet twice in the entire 8 years he disgraced the office of the presidency?

Ping to Post #114 re protests taking place outside German military bases.

mystery-ak: Prayers continue for your Mike and his safe trip home via Walter Reed (and/or back to his men in Iraq, if that's God's will). Prayers continue for you while you cope with your husband's absence. And more thanks for your husband's service to our country!

Bush needs to keep up the pressure and watch Kerry's ratings drop
****

I'm seeing his ads in Maryland, which never happened in the 2000 contest. If his campaign is spending money here then they really are going aggressive. It's a Good Thing.

It just occured to me yesterday, that they see Condi as a threat against Hillary for 08, so they're starting NOW, trying to discredit her, along with the President.

Here is a great statement from "pukin dog" that he wrote to everybody who was over on the "testimony" thread. For those of you who weren't, this might cheer some of you up. I know it sure did help me - thanks pukin dog:

"If I didn't know any better, from the looks of the comments on this thread, I would have guessed that we got killed today. Since I know better, I'll just share with all of you that Clarke is a NOBODY in Washington now, he is radioactive with the Media, and you can expect even more revelations in the coming days. The Bush administration is not taking this lightly, and from what I am told, they feel that they won BIG-TIME today. Clarke is an angry man, looking to gain favor with the Left, and get high book sales, because he knows that he will never work in Government again for either side. This is an all-out blitz by the Left to win this upcoming election, because if they don't, so many members of Congress are leaving that Bush will end up with a Super-Majority within two years. The Democrats don't want to stay in office unless they are in charge. I was not told exactly what is going to happen, but I WAS told that by the time the Sunday shows roll around, Clarke will wish he was in the Witness Protection program. So once again, stop thinking the worst and just wait. As you should know by now, our side knows what they are doing. If the Media wont be fair, they will just go around them."
