How totally rediculas. This country has absolutely gone nuts. Anyone have a phone number for these idiots. I'd like to call them and tell them to leave the teacher alone.

You can leave a direct voice mail for her by calling the school at (813) 757-9370
You will get an option that asks you to dial her name. Then you get her voice mail.
Send a word of support to let her know there are sane people left in this world and not just the nuts around here making a big deal over these rabbits.

A kid at our high school had some sort of boa constrictor. He had mice that he raised to feed it. He thought hed be cute one day and brought two mice to school in one of those cardboard tubes you used to carry drafting assignments home.
He let them out in this old ladys geometry class thinking hed scare her (I guess). She grabbed a yardstick and chased them down and beat both of them to death. Scooped their bodies up one at a time with the yardstick and dumped them in the trash can.
No big outcry. Yep
Mrs. Wentz
still remember that.

Been there done that. Rabbits and cats. What's the big deal?
Sheesh.
High school girls who dump their day old babies in the garbage can or the toilet at the prom get less than a $310 fine.

That must have been horrible for you as a student.
Did it scar you? Did you need counseling? Do you have flashbacks?

Actually they can survive. It just takes some effort with an eye dropper, which might have been a good extra credit for students.

Its just not what we want to teach people to do with injured or sick animals.
Just what, exactly, do these leftist idiots "want to teach people" to do with sick, dying animals?
Should she have left them to suffer and die on their own, all covered with fire ants? Or should she have ponied up a bunch of dough and brought them to a vet? I mean, what?
And another thing, who the hell do these people think they are, believing that it is their job to "teach" people how to care for animals? That lady did the right thing.
Sorry for the rant, I have to let off some steam... Been working all day around CLUELESS liberals in good old Amherst, Mass and I really feel the need to vent.

How soft and tender we have become ... But hey, it's nearly Easter ....I wonder if they object to all of the rabbits killed by Hawks, Eagles, etc. (which is an awesome sight to behold), or songbirds killed at birdfeeders by cats, etc.
These two rabbits were not meant to live, prolonging their suffering would only make it worse.

Too bad they weren't human fetuses. The teacher would get a commendation from Planned Parenthood and NOW.

We felt this person had to be held accountable, said Hillsborough County Animal Services investigator Dennis McCullough, whose agency filed two civil counts of animal cruelty against Bender. Its just not what we want to teach people to do with injured or sick animals. The civil penalties imposed by Animal Services require Bender to pay $310 for each count, or request a court hearing. Fire Dennis and fine him $7500 for abuse of office.
If he persists, triple the fine.
To: 11th Earl of Mar
There will be more publicity and outrage over these two dead baby rabbits than over a human baby left to die in a dumpster.
Sad.

I thought they were talking about first gradersSheesh, me too. I hate to see animals suffer and would rather see them put quickly out of their misery. I once hit a very large dog with my very small truck, late at night on a country road. After making an attempt to locate the owners, and realizing that knocking on isolated doors that late was life-threatening to ME, I was forced to abandon the still-alive dog. I always wished I had had a gun with me.
