How long was he in officer before 9/11? How quick should one come to the conclusion to BLOW UP another country? If you have to ask why the President went into Iraq, you need to spend less time here and more time reading about Iraq and the UN.

It is so rediculous. In a small way, Cohen said this yesterday, when he decided to take out Al-Shifa, even when he learned it was not what he thought. But as he said, he knew if the threat did exist and something happened in America, he would be back in front of a committee answering questions as to why he didn't take it out with the intel he had at hand. Unfortunately, he was in front of a committee explaining anyhow. You just can't win in DC.

Thank YOU for your service. There ARE people here who support you. :-)

Rush led off his show and hammered and hammered at Clarke
for the first two hours, with this only part of his ammunition.

Clarke is a liar. Who knows what he is telling which is truthful?

This reminds me of Ritter.

Anyone who can post any part of a transcript of Rush's first two hours, and list his sources: I would appreciate that.

When President Bush told us in March to stop swatting at flies and just solve this problem, then that was the strategic direction that changed the NSPD from one of rollback to one of elimination.

For anyone who needs a clarification of the difference in foreign policy between Dems and Pubs ... just read them this quote over and over until they finally get it ...

Clarke allowed a plane full of Saudis depart the country after 9/11 when all flights were grounded.

I actually had been wondering recently what had happened to Ritter. Seemed like he disappeared.

So, when did Dick Clarke get arrested for trying to pickup underaged girls at a Burger King, and when did the DNC find out about it?

It sure has the feel of somebody getting blackmailed.

Your point is exactly why the libs are going nowhere with this whole thing. They will get a little bump out of the sensationalism of all of it but the facts are against them: The more that this is talked about, the more it will damage demokrats.

The only "plan" that Klinton came up with was for "black ninja turtles" to attack al Qaeda camps... LOL

He's exposed on the Fair and balanced media at least.
the Post runs a much different take which I'm sure they
will stick with. This is the kind of stuff I email to everyone that I know as I'm sure it will never see the light of day on the Partisan media outlets.

I looked it up. In the Democratic debate in my home state of South Carolina, Kerry said the Bush Administration had exaggerated the threat of terrorism. From a Washington Times story about that debate:

"I think there has been an exaggeration," Mr. Kerry said when asked whether President Bush has overstated the threat of terrorism. "They are misleading all Americans in a profound way."

Come on, leftists, you can't have it both ways. Either Bush took it too seriously or not seriously enough. You can't argue both positions with credibility!

It is obvious Clarke is angling for a position in the hopefully-not-to-be Kerry administration. This will give you some idea of just how coherent and consistent an approach to the war on terror such an administration would have.

The Republicans on the committee, as per those in Congress, are too busy trying to pick their jaws up off the floor that their colleague, Mr. Clarke, would dare to write a book contrary to his 15 hours of testimony already contributed to this committee prior to today. Thompson actually tried to hold Clarke's feet to the fire and if he had more time, he would have been most effective.

The guy admits he tells the press what it wants to hear as a shill for Bush only because he works for the admin, and then also says today to the committee and via his book that Bush and his admin are idiots and that he sees nothing contradicting in his actions. NOt only that, he sees nothing contradicting in stating the reason he's attacking Bush is because Bush went to Iraq. What the h*ll doess that really have to do with how Bush acted prior to 9/11???
