I posted elsewhere yesterday, it's sure an Alice in Wonderland world when telling the truth -- i.e., the release of Clarke's letter to Bush -- is, per Daschle, "an unprecedented abuse of power." Couldn't agree with you more, the *truth* is not "smearing."

Serious question. Who was the last person prosecuted for perjury for lying to congress and when? I honestly can not remember anyone. Though I am young (30).

You can bet Hillary and the Dems have Clarke in conference on what he is going to say this afternoon. Clarke should be sweating.
So you think he got the call from clintoon.... Better watch for another case of Arkancide with Clark. Committed suicide by shooting himself 4 times in the back of the head with a .45 cal revolver.

And he's counting on his buddies, the media enablers, to keep it real quiet (or spin it in his direction).

I hope he does. He'll walk in to that room all puckered up. Will he perjure himself? If he does, will he be prosecuted for doing so? His butt is on the chopping block - BIG TIME!

I was only listening with half an ear but was taken aback at Isikoff's seeming to brush this off...either he's totally a liberal hack or (perhaps like Drudge?) he's annoyed he didn't break it first.

Isokof from Newsweek on Fox and has my jaw dropping. Said in no way does this previous interview discredit his book and the 60min interview. Says the hearings just futher backup Clarks claims. The problem is that is not going to get the airplay that the other stuff has. I am afraid the damage has already been done to Bush, but hopefully can recover. I see a big swing in the daily Rasmussen poll. Bush has been up 2-3 point for over a week now. Today, Kerry is up 2. Big swing.

Leftmedia are already out respinning the tape Jim Angle found. What's he saying? (I am stuck at my office and unable to follow his response.)

Still nothing posted on DU about this. Come on, you worthless, wretched cowards. You know you're going to have to start discussing it sometime.
Pull the rotting tooth. Get it over with now, for your own respective sakes. :)

You mean it's not a pimple twisting on top of a

well, anyway.
I really have no use for that creature. He probably collects Shrillery's used Kx's as tailesman's.
Does DC have someone who goes around collecting the nation's scum from the bottom of the nation's cess pools?
Oh, right, they do,
it's called the
DNC.

You may never see that... Dems feel about their politics the same way we feel about ours. But, to dismiss the intelligence of the American people is a little fatalistic(and a whole lot demeaning), don't you think? I happen to think that they are a lot smarter than you are giving them credit.
