OPERATION IRON PROMISE DAY FOUR

BAGHDAD, Iraq - IRON PROMISE is a Task Force 1st Armored Division operation targeting former regime elements and other extremists who pose a threat to the Iraqi people and stand in the way of a new Iraq.

In addition to enemies captured, the Task Force seized 14 AK-47 assault rifles and a pistol, 20 rocket-propelled grenade launchers, 30 mortar rounds, 100 mortar fuses and assorted small arms ammunition.

The Task Force also conducted 538 patrols, including 38 joint missions with Coalition and Iraqi Defense Force partners, and 35 escort missions.

IRON PROMISE, along with many other actions involving U.S. and Iraqi Defense and police forces are part of an ongoing campaign to bring stabilization and security to the country and people of Iraq.

Hi, Dolly! No, just a daily CENTCOM thread, but great idea, lol.

This "Operation" is the latest major operation being conducted by the 1st AD troops around Baghdad. They're going after some serious evildoers and can use some extra prayers and cheerleading.

Hmmm...maybe it IS another daily OIF series! *g* ...We'd need an updated OIF II wanker dictionary, w/ a chapter on domestic ~~enemies~~ wankers.
