WARSAW, Poland (AP) -- Polish authorities were investigating Monday whether three Pakistanis and a Ukrainian detained in Warsaw might have terrorist links after finding marked-up maps in one of the men's apartments.
Police were also looking into the possibility that the case involves human smuggling, spokesman Pawel Chojecki told The Associated Press.

Poland's government, an important U.S. ally in Iraq, has put security services on alert and urged citizens to be vigilant after the Madrid train bombings, which killed 202 people. Poland commands 9,500 peacekeepers in Iraq, including 2,400 of its own.Thank you, Spain, for giving in to terrorists. The lesson was learned.

The men were taken into custody Sunday after Warsaw police spotted one of the Pakistanis behaving suspiciously near the capital's main train station and asked for his documents Excellent police work. If it happened here we'd have the ACLU labeling it "profiling".

Yep. I bet their nicknames were "Stosh" and "Yosh." Their supervisor, Casmir Waterski, should be praised as well.
Kudos to my paternal ancestral homeland in the war on terror! Remind me to pour a shot of Belvidere in tribute.

The Polish are about to have an election too.... Though I think it won't make too much of a difference, because the former Communists are in power now, and they supported the Iraq war.

They were released, no connection with terrorist has been found. Looks like a false alarm.

(...)she mentioned that they found plans of Warsaw Grand Central and Gdansk Glowna sketches then story died. You are wright, I've almost forget about it. But one correction- It was Okecie (an airfield in Warsaw) not Grand Central. They were up to sth that's for sure. We were lucky out ABW (sth like CIA) had dealt with them before they were ready to strike. pzdr
