Israel has killed Sheik Yasin!
Let me know when the Crescent News Network acknowledges that Hamas is a violent, virulent TERRORIST GROUP, not some "rebel group" or "activists." Since this is the only place to watch this, I hit the Mute button for a while.
But maybe Yassin was. Jane Fonda Kerry is hereby released from his vow of confidentiality, since Shiek Yassim has been vaporized (that's him all over).
You mean he's not the leader of a charitable organisation that runs schools and hospitals and gives pony rides?
Hamas Leader Eliminated in IDF Surgical Strike
06:03 Mar 22, '04 / 29 Adar 5764(IsraelNN.com) In an early morning IDF helicopter gunship surgical strike in Gaza, Hamas leader Sheik Ahmed Yassin has been killed along with a number of body guards.
According to initial reports from Gaza, air-to-surface missiles were fired at the sheik’s vehicle as he was making his way to a local mosque. A son of the terrorist leader was injured in the attack.

Sunday, March 21, 2004GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip — Hamas spiritual leader leader Sheik Ahmed Yassin (search) was killed in an Israeli airstrike early Monday, Fox News has confirmed.
Witnesses said Israeli helicopters fired three missiles at Yassin and two bodyguards as they left a mosque at daybreak, killing them instantly. Mosque loudspeakers announced his death, and Palestinians quickly gathered at the scene. One man cried in anguish as he held up what looked to be a shredded, bloody robe.
A total of four people were killed and 12 were wounded in the attack, witnesses said.
Yussef Haddad, 35, a taxi driver, said he saw the missiles hit Yassin and the bodyguards.
"Their bodies were shattered," he said.
Mosques in the area amplified the sound of Quranic verses, as announcements were made calling Yassin a "martyr." The Palestinian Authority (search) called the strike a "cowardly attack."
Yassin, a quadriplegic, was by far the most senior Palestinian militant killed in more than three years of Israeli-Palestinian fighting. Thousands of angry Palestinians gathered minutes after the attack, calling for revenge against Israel, and gunfire was heard in the Sabra (search) neighborhood where Yassin lives.
Ambulances and fire trucks raced to the scene with sirens wailing, and rescue workers were gathering up the shattered bodies
. Yassin founded Hamas in 1987. He was held in Israeli prisons for several years before being released in 1994. In September 2002, Yassin escaped an Israeli missile strike on a Gaza building with a hand injury.
Yassin lived in a modest house in the rundown Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City. Israel blamed him for inspiring Hamas bombers and attackers who killed hundreds of Israelis.
In announcing Yassin's death, Hamas said, "(Israeli Prime Minister Ariel) Sharon has opened the gates of hell and nothing will stop us from cutting off his head."

CNN in its usual anti-Israel fashion describes Yassin as the Hamas leader, adding “Israel reports” he posed a threat and was behind suicide bombing attacks.
Fox News on the other hand is reporting that Yassin was the terror organization’s leader and stood behind many attacks, quoting his statements vowing to continue striking out against Israeli targets.

The Security Cabinet convened recently and it was announced that an offensive is being launched targeting terrorist leaders. Yesterday, Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz stated a comprehensive offensive against terrorist leaders is underway as the IDF attempts to neutralize the Hamas and Hizbullah infrastructure operating in Gaza ahead of a possible Israeli unilateral disengagement from that area.
