More proof why so many of the goons who protested the war on terror yesterday are beyond redemption.

Two words come to mind: public flogging.

It looks to me that he mounted sticks down either side of the edge of the poster board, so as to create two handles.

Another point look at the position of the sign in the persons hands....it doesnt look quite right. Even with no wind.... a sign that size can't be held by the fingertips.Agreed, I've held signs and the physics aren't right - unless he has small poles going down the edge of the back of the sign - but how would those be held in place? I've put a pole down the middle of a sign with a bunch of tape, but the tape would show with two
Also, look at the lighting of the sign in both pics - dead even contrast on both - one brighter, one grayish - but no uneveness.

Though I disagree with you. The evil signholder could have it balanced on each forefinger with each thumb extended upward behind it, so the sign is slightly leaning back. But to have it stay that way would require no wind at all.

The guy is walking with the sign - which would induce wind - and holding it the same way.

The shadows look OK to me, and if the focus was directed at the sign, the background would be blurry. I think the person was at the event - the question is, was the sign there as well?

His index fingers are up a bit more in this second photo, thereby allowing a better grip. But it would still be tough to keep it balanced that way, especially while walking. Not impossible, but it sure seems curious.

There is no shadow being casted by the sign behind the person holding it. The simple facts are, the sun is coming from behind him, not in front like you think it is.
Look at the shadows on his right arm for proof of that fact. As far as the holding of the sign, at that height and angle, it is unnatural for a human hand to hold anything in that awkward position and would appear to be out of proportion as you noticed, but it can be done for short periods of time.

I'm hoping to see a picture where this animals full face is shown. That's the picture I will post in as many forums as I can find.

I am a graphic artist. The sign looks real to me. Not to excuse him in any way, but he is probably not making the statement that he is glad people died, but rather saying he is glad the big bad evil corporate entities represented by the Trade Center are gone. Nevertheless he deserves imprisonment for treason.

Then the face of the sign would be in shadow, not direct sun. It is in shadow in the walking photo; that's the one I was referring to, and I presumed PF was as well.

The original photographer provided his orig. high res camera shots.
Here's one of the links via a thread on LGF. You can read more about it there. The original photographer has authenticated the picture as his orginial, unshopped pic, and provided two other shots from his camera taken in sequence that day. He's rather amazed at the determination of some folks to call the sign a photoshopped fake.
http://members.myactv.net/~lgf/zombie.html The pics are huge, so be warned about that. Scroll from top to bottom to view all three, and in particular take note of the third. It has it's own full-size link here:
http://www.extragigs.biz/clients/zombie/protest3.jpg He did not take the "second" pic at the top of the thread here (the one that parcially shows the face of the sign - holder as he marches with a crowd rather unconcerned about his sign. That pic was taken by someone else, and it appeared on a PROTEST site among other's documenting the san fran activities.
Two photographers, at least four pics, orig res on three, multiple angles.
The guy was really carrying the sign.

I enlarged the picture and the man has hand grips below the sign allowing him to hold it without interfering with his sick message.

The face of the sign in the second photo is not in direct sun. If it was, it would be blindingly white, obscuring the text like the other sign in the background.
