Kennedy: CIA Will Confirm Kerry Met with Foreign Leaders
NewsMax.com ^ | Carl Limbacher

Posted on 03/21/2004 8:54:03 AM PST by Carl/NewsMax

Defending Sen. John Kerry against charges he fabricated claims of meetings with foreign leaders who offered their political support, Sen. Ted Kennedy said Sunday that the Central Intelligence Agency will verify Kerry's account.

Asked to identify the leaders Kerry met with, Kennedy told NBC's "Meet the Press," "The CIA knows it . They work for the president. They can give him the names of all of those countries."

Kennedy complained that the White House still hasn't identified the members of Vice President Dick Cheney's Energy task Force, or the White House official who leaked the name of CIA employee Valerie Plame.

But when pressed on Kerry's alleged meetings with foreign leaders, Kennedy reiterated the claim that the CIA will back his account up.

"He's obviously - he's met leaders over a period of time," he told "Meet the Press." "And anyone - the CIA knows who they - if the White House is really interested in those leaders, they control the CIA, the CIA gives them those lists."

I do believe Bush or his surrogates will make an issue of Kerry's military record at some point. (along with lots of other issues being discussed on FR) However, there is still 7-8 months before the election. You dont want to waste your whole "wad" right now.

Yes. If Kerry falls too far behind he'll pull a legal version of Torricelli. His "health concerns" will flare up and he'll throw his delegates to someone with a better chance of winning - like Adolf Hitler.

That's right, the democrat's actually think linking themselves to European leaders is a GOOD THING. Who is doing their polling because it's so out of sync with what Americans on the whole feel about this.

Let's see if we have this right....?

-John F Kerry is the foreigner's choice to be President of the US, holding himself out to be an agent for their interests.

-John F Kerry is in violation of Federal Law, in that he is not duly registered as a FOREIGN AGENT of a foreign Government,  with the intent to hold foreign interests above those of the United States.

-Foreign entities have expressed interest, and may have already contributed foreign monies to John F Kerry's campaign, thereby illegally influencing a National Election.

-John F Kerry, while holding a Federal Military Commission, (n/w/s... he may have been in the US Naval Reserves) did negotiate with an enemy entity to bind the US Government to an alleged Peace Treaty, in the Enemy's camp, without authorization of the Government, in violation of the US Constitution.

-John F Kerry, knowingly consorted with an assination plotter, a member of the VVAW, to kill US Senators; and FAILED to report such plans to Federal Authorities. The plotter has been offered a campaign position.

-John Forbes Kerry, prove where you were Nov. 12-15, 1971.

Those late nite jokes are deadly..

in politics, there is nothing more deadlier than being ridiculed. If the image of Kerry be the favorite candidate of the French or the UN, he is going to lose all those midwestern states. I can't imagine swing state voters in Iowa, Missouri, Ohio would prefer our leader be chosen by the French. BTW, there is a very sour undertone about foreign governments in this election - the outsourcing issue is the fuel of this undertone. Either candidates must steer clear the impression that they put a higher priority of appleasing the foreigners over the importance of the American electorate. Let that be jobs or national security. But I don't expect the dims are that smart to figure this out. If the image of "Kerry is French" to be a an American president then he is done, cooked, finished.

"the White House official who leaked the name of CIA employee Valerie Plame"

Carl, minor point, but my understanding Novak said "senior government offical" so nobody knows for sure if that person works in the White House.

LOL CIA knowing is OK. But all these meetings have to be documented to the State Department and forwarded to the White House.

A few days ago I wrote:

I'm telling you people, this guy is not going to make it to the ballot in November. They're going to have to shove him off the deck one way or the other. He's going to drag the Dems to an absolute unmitigated disaster.

I think Teddy's comment may have been part of the shoving operation.

I thought Hannity has been saying all week that Senate records do not show Kerry leaving the country; nor do White House records show foreign leaders coming to the country.

So, if Kerry met with leaders like Kennedy says, and if it takes the CIA to corroborate it, does that mean that Kerry was falsifying his Senate records of his whereabouts? Does that mean that Kerry was having clandestine meetings with foreign leaders that only our spies know about?

I'm confused...

Is Teddy asserting that he believes the CIA has Kerry bugged? Or is Kerry escorted by CIA?????
