This is Mr. Kerry's first week with his wife away from the hurly-burly, as he calls it, since late August.

How has Kerry fulfilled his duties as Seantor for the past seven months given this information? Why aren't the mainstream press hounding him from office like they did with Dole?

This is a nice little sentence, mocking Kerry's speech pattern. HA!

Well, I know for sure of one day he blew off work:

This is an FYI that I try to get out on all related threads. The unemployment extension amendment was defeated a few weeks ago. For those of you who aren't familiar with this, the 13 week extension for benefits is picked up by the federal government after your state's benefits run out. This amendment has been renewed every 6 months or so for the last few years.

My former boss has already sent me an email blaming this on President Bush. I shot her an email back, giving her the facts. I followed this closely, as it affected me. The amendment was defeated by 2 votes. It needed 3/5th majority or 60 votes to pass. KERRY AND EDWARDS were absent from their jobs in the senate that day. With their 2 yea votes, it would have have passed. At least, I assume Kerry would have voted for it, since he is SO for the hardworking people of this country.

I watched it on C-SPAN, and it is on the senate website as well. For the record, my two Republican senators from Ohio voted for it. So if any of you hear someone trying to blame President Bush for no extended unemployment benefits, please set them straight.

Yes... I believe the U.S. Senate is in session at the moment and it appears that Senator Kerry is acting very irresponsibly toward his constituents in Massachusetts. They are not getting their money's worth... Should we expect to get the same from him should he become president?

Perhaps he should be more responsible and resign now so his fellow Bay Staters have someone in office who wants to do something rather than just be something. But then again, That would appear to be out of character, wouldn't it?
