Why does the Boston Globe caption read differently? More liberal bias?

...thank God...that we at least have stopped American participation in the war."...an arrogant fool even back then - his efforts helped keep the war going for years after it would have been brought to a halt by the North Vietnamese, who were ready to stop it after the infamous Tet offensive but were encouraged to struggle on by the antiwar movement in the US....

Every little bit helps. It takes a lot of nails to seal a coffin. Great picture.

Yes, why does the Globe caption leave out the critical info? Where did you get this Bettman caption?

It looks like the Kerry campaign had approval over the Boston Globe pictures and captions.

Do you have a source for the statement that he was claiming to be the VVAW while watching Nixon in that pic?

If you do would be helpful..
either email me webmaster@nojohnkerry.org
or post here.

Thanks.

Ain't the internet grand? If Querry wins in a fluke, rest assured that certain "limits" will be placed on this communication medium.

When I was young and foolish
I protested the Vietnam War.

Da Nang school children at 2000 commemoration of the fall of Saigon

I hope the mothers of these
children can forgive me.

Have they forgiven Kerry, and his "Coalition of the Unwilling," (VVAW) for abandoning them to the Communists?

Kerry has tried to claim he left the VVAW as early as April 1971

That was supposedly after the assassination plans meeting which he claims (in contradiction of several witnesses) not to have been present at. Everything now points to him not only having been present at that planning session, but also not resigned over it.

So he knew about assassination plans against US senators, and he didn't come forward with the information. In addition, he's hiring the actual instigator of that planning - the guy who really, really wanted these murders done - for his campaign.

And, wonder of wonders - people who speak out against him are running into bad fortune. The guy who had little good to say about him from Vietnam was fired within hours after being interviewed. The guy Kerry got into a quarrel with over some issue (foreign leader support, i think), has had his house vandalized.

Is it time to have the good Senator rounded up and indicted?

Corbis gives a disclaimer about their captions, but I have got to believe that there is a microfilm copy of that edition of the Globe somewhere.

Yeah, that disclaimer is just to let them off the hook if they were supplied mis-information. Corbis is just a stock footage library, essentially. The photo is from Bettman as is the caption. And you can bet it is accurate and it was supplied by Kerry himself.
