I saw a thread on DU concerning Lipscomb. Apparently, he has 7 eye-witnesses, one lefty historian, and some redacted FBI docs that place Kerry at the meeting despite his denial that he was there. You're right--this could cut.

I saw in another post earlier today that Kerry apparently did an interview with Dick Cavett, 1971, IIRC.

That tapes supposedly has not circulated.

Someone else posted that CSPAN will run that Cavett interview Sunday.

I haven't heard much about this Cavett interview, but per the posts in that earlier thread, it doesn't appear to be a 'plus' for Kerry.

I assumed Kerry's involvement in VVAW was a move for headlines and a platform for public life. He seems like too much of an opportunist to be involved in such an underhanded plot like assasination which would surely (and if true, hopefully) would come back to haunt him.
