Hmmmm? Maybe the WH is taking Kerry out early .. hoping to force Hillary into the game ..?? That's a very interesting thought.

I've heard that both sides are searching for a full undedited copy of the Cavett tape from 1971. (libs want to get rid of it)

Really? Portions of it were included in that piece Brian Williams did for NBC. The piece that was talked up on Hardball because of the Nixon angle.

But it was quite a lengthy report and had some excerpts from Cavett with Kerry "debating" some pro-war fellow. What type of thing is supposed to be in the uneditid tape and do you think Brian Williams had access to it in its entirety?

This is the reason that the President should NOT respond to John Freakin' Kerry. He should focus his reelection efforts on his vision for the future and identify the areas where we needs support from the people to overcome the expected obstacles (Democraps and RINOs).

It wouldn't surprise me, but I'm not TOO worried.... Who will they pick, Shrillary? Anyone they pick (if a Senator or Congressman) will have votes 95% the same as Kerry. I can see the ads after they pick a new candidate to replace Jean Cheri after his polls implode... "Hillary Clinton... 4.7% more wrong on Defense than John Kerry!"

I just don't think they do. There's no evidence that Kerry advocated this policy. He didn't try to assassinate a senator. The sheeple don't care.

I disagree. Most people aren't buddies with guys who plot assasinations.

"I think he's going to take himself out of the running for "health reasons," or some such."

I think that is bad news but not unexpected. You do realize what this means. Hillary will step in. However this is awkward. I don't think they planned to have Kerry blown out of the water until closer to the election. The more time the demorats have, the less likely they will pick Hillary and the more time the Repubs have to remind people of Hillary's record.

SENATOR KERRY, DO YOU SUPPORT THE ASSASSINATION OF POLITICAL OPPONENTS?

No, no, no...

SENATOR KERRY, DID YOU STOP SUPPORTING THE ASSASSINATION OF POLITICAL OPPONENTS?

That's better...

Senator Kerry, when did you stop supporting the assassination of political opponents? ("When did you stop beating your wife?")

If this issue goes wide, Kerry is finished. There is no defense, unless he was an FBI informant himself!

And that would lose him his Radical Red base. So either way, he's toast...if the issue gets much exposure. I predict it won't.

They'll just say it was a crazy time in America. I just don't think this will cripple Kerry as much as I'd like.

Hillary is waiting to do what, finish off the Kerry campaign?

Yes, sometime before the convention. Kerry will be pressured to release his delegates "for the good of the Party" and probably "For the Children" as well.

As wacky as the left is these days, I certainly wouldn't be surprised to hear some say something like, "Well, Bush wants to assassinate the terrorists leaders, how is that any different."

Yes, the left is really that *!@# up.

Nostalgic America will believe that spin and ignore the criminality of the left. Book it.

Nope, I won't book it. If it could be spun that way he wouldn't have lied about it all these years.

Also you're forgetting his campaign supposedly reaching out to the plot's architect.

Here's the thing to those who cite the elder Bush. This meeting was not a secret. It was written up in books and comments are on the record to this very day by attendees and the man who came up with the assassin plan.

There was no need for anybody on the right to leak a thing. What happened is one guy writing a book got some of these documents via normal channels and that's it.

or possibly "i wasnt there untile i was there, then i left, but that isnt to say i disagreed with the meeting... but that doesnt mean i agreed either. that doesnt matter, the real issues right now are that i could help you get rid of gay marriages, unless i dont. in which case i will tell you about how much popularity i can get from not knowing how to duck in a war, which by the way, i was against and i saw attrocious behaviours commited by our forces, even though noone else did. but that wont stop me from sucking benefits from it. (commince blah blah blah where you started...) and let me finish by telling you this message was brought to you by BOTOX!"

In fact, Kerry continued to represent the VVAW at multiple events *after* November 12, 1971, continuing well into 1972.

Had I been there I would have voted against it.I wasn't there so who knows I could have voted for the appearence of the use of force, but then vote against the bullets for the assasins gun?

That because Mr. Kerry voted against the 1991 war, he opposed sending troops under U.N. auspices to the Middle East; that because he voted for the 2003 deployment, he advocated sending American troops without the U.N. to the Middle East; and that because he later voted in 2003 to deny funds to troops in the field, he opposed U.S. deployment unless it was under the auspices of the U.N.- Victor Davis Hanson.
