Fear not, my friend. We are just in that uncomfortable time when we are sorting out who our friends and enemies are. We will prevail when the majority realizes we have no choice. Democracies are slow to anger, but lethal when aroused.

If you have occasion to talk to General Skalski, please pass along my best wishes and thanks for his service. He is a personal hero of mine - I have a print he signed of the Spitfire MK IX he flew in North Africa as leader of the Polish Fighting Team. He's been quite an inspiration to all us Americans of Polish descent who knows his story.

Reminds me - better give my congressman a call. Poland is due to get some F-16s - maybe those can be hurried up. Can't wait to see the "chessboards" painted on them. [grin]

I will be asking fellow Freepers who can't stand with the troops and our war efforts on tough days, as we will be facing increasingly difficult days up to June 30, and then to the US election - to take their complaints where our troops won't read them, where our enemies won't be heartened by them, where our war efforts won't be undermined by them.
