March 17, 2004 -- CINEMAX will air a documentary investigating whether Adolf Hitler was gay.

"The Hidden Fuhrer: Debating the Enigma of Hitler's Sexuality" will air Tuesday, April 20 - Hitler's birthday. It's based on Lothar Machtan's best-seller, "The Hidden Hitler," and is produced by Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato ("Monica in Black and White," "Party Monster").

Adolph wasn't gay.
I just watched a documentary wherein it stated that Hitler proposed numerous times to one of the Wagner women prior to 1933 (Yes that Wagner), but she kept saying no as he had 'no official position'. Then as soon as he was elected Chancellor she changed her mind, but then Adolph told HER to take a hike (evidently he was too busy and had other things on his mind then). However he did then make the annual Wagner Festival a 'State Event' and saved the Wagner family from financial ruin.

Now isn't that a sweet story? He had a nice side too!

P.S. Did you know that Hitler had a son? With a French woman during WW I. The family lives still (of course they're really NOT Hitler's family in any sense other than the biological one - Hitler had no contact with his son, and the latter only found this out after WW II when his mother, on her deathbed, revealed it to him, ruining his life. (Wasn't THAT precious??)

Before anyone reads this, please be sure to realize it is written for adults.

When I took the History of Nazi Germany last semester, we discussed this topic. While there is some circumstantial evidence, there is nothing concrete. Most of Hitler's sexual dysfunctions come from the relationship with his mother. She was the maid of Hitler's father and his first wife. When the wife was dying, the father started an affair with her and would later marry her. Almost all their kids died very young and Hitler's mother blamed herself. She felt it was some kind of divine punishment for the affair.

When Hitler was born, he had a physical defect in the form of one undescended testicle. In an attempt to correct the problem, his mother massaged his scrotum until he was 9 years old. If this wouldn't mess someone up in the head, I'm not sure what would. Hitler was also severely abused by his father, once being beaten so bad he was in a coma for days. Hitler did try to have some relationships with women but he was never successful. His first, and probably only real one, was with his niece, Geli. Geli was a wild child who had the reputation of sleeping with anyone she could. She would later commit "suicide" by shooting herself in the heart with Hitler's pistol. (Hitler had an autopsy done and watched it as well.)

When Hitler decided to eliminate the S.A. in what became known as the "Night of Long Knives", he had the leadership killed or arrested. The leader, Ernst Rohm, and his cronies were found in a nice hotel with their boy lovers. When Hitler and the S.S. came in, they dragged them out with Hitler waving a pistol and threatening to kill them as "insults of nature" or something to that effect. Later they were "disposed of" by various means.

I was actually hoping to continue a study of Nazi Germany in Texas A&M's M.A. program but they decided today that I was not worthy.
