RNC NOT WELCOME - September 2004, NY
http://www.rncnotwelcome.org/ ^ | 3-2004

Posted on 03/16/2004 11:24:17 PM PST by doug from upland

Here is what the domestic enemies are doing these days.

FOOLISH WEBSITE

The Republican National Committee has, for the first time in their 150 year history, selected New York for their Convention from August 29-September 4, 2004. In a shallow attempt at exploiting the lives lost at the World Trade Center, the RNC has pushed the Convention date to September. We have witnessed two unjust wars, at least one American life lost each day overseas, a depressed economy, the collapse of the dollar, $87 billion to boost war profiteering, the closing of our firehouses, a health-care crisis, millions of children being left behind, and now this. We say, Enough!

When the vote does not place in power those who represent the will of the people, democracy must be taken to the streets. This administration's choice of New York City, historically known for its diverse population, its welcoming of immigrants from far off lands, and its radical politics will prove to be their biggest mistake yet.

The RNC decided to go to N.Y. TO BOOST THE ECONOMY OF THE CITY. The Demorats ,ALSO , wanted N.Y. BUT "BIG HEAD" KENNEDY insisted on Boston to BOOST HIS ELECTION.

I think it will be extremely difficult this year.

One thing few people mention when they are discussing the events in Spain is that there were riots outside of the PP headquarters all over Spain on election eve. Some Socialist politicians were caught calling out for these rent-a-mobs, although I will say that in the majority of cases, the Socialists merely benefitted from the disturbance rather than orchestrating it. Much of that appears to have been done by student groups and the usual gang of useful idiots.

It worked in Spain, making election day a very unpleasant experience for many people who might have voted PP, because there were still demonstrations going on outside of PP headquarters in the morning, and at least one PP office had been burned during the night.

I'm expecting the same thing here.

The Demorats ,ALSO , wanted N.Y. BUT "BIG HEAD" KENNEDY insisted on Boston to BOOST HIS ELECTION.

Also (as I heard it), the Dems wouldn't take NYC unless they refused the Republicans. This a.m. on WRKO (Boston), they were discussing what a shambles the city is going to be because of the Dem convention, so I'm more or less hoping that everyone will blame (rightly!) the Dems, with emphasis on Mayor Menino (who practically begged them to come to Boston) and Teddy (who apparently used his pull to get it).

The Republican gov (Romney) suggested they use the new (boondoggle) Convention Center -- away from the center of the city for security purposes. The Fleet Center (which the Dems insist on) is over a major commuter rail station (they'll be moving the platforms, but I can't imaging where), next to a streetcar station (which will be closed for the duration), about a block from Mass. General Hospital (roadblocks, security, etc. may make it hard for ambulances). The Secret Service is planning to close a big stretch of the Central Artery.

Protesters are already protesting that they're apparently to be fenced into a small area blocks from the Fleet Center. Boston Police are apparently still working without a contract (and, I gather, hate Menino), and the police union is currently planning a demonstration of its own.

If it continues to shape up this way, with no one to blame but the Dems . . . well, who knows?

Why no. tell me ;-).

Back in late 2000 (maybe a month or so before the election), I was leaving work when we were all trapped at the intersection of Eighth Ave & 57th Street because the rapist's motorcade was coming through on his way to a 'rat fundraise on the Upper West Side (Harvey Weinstein's penthouse, I believe). For some reason, his car paused at the corner where I was stuck and when he looked out and smiled, I took the "Bush 2000" bumpersticker from my bag (I got it when volunteering for the campaign) and held it up for him to see. I glared and his smile disappeared.

Remember the rallies and demonstrations they held the day or so after the heinous terrorist attack? My dad pointed out that it seemed odd that they were holding up signs demanding "Paz" (peace) and not retribution for the bloody attack. This is a man who always laughs at conspiracy theories, but the thought that the Spanish left may have been complicit in the attack has crossed his mind -- especially the way they organized the "peace rally" so soon after being attacked.

I agree that the police should not use tear gas on them.

They should use hot lead. .38s, .45s, .00 Buck, 0 Buck, deer slugs, No. 4 shot.

Do not even bury the bast##ds, just haul them to the landfill and let the buzzards eat them.

A couple of weeks ago, during the flap over the 9/11 photos in Bush's ads, I started Googling some of the people quoted in multiple articles criticizing Bush.

One of the "repeat offenders" was Rita Lazar. When I Goggled her name, the Republicans Not Welcome website came up. She's in there somewhere. These are just the same ole lefties pining for their day in the sun (the 60's).

I was in the Navy and you know what? For every guy who signed up out of a sense of patriotic duty, there were at least ten who signed up for a job & benefits or the college money.

Maybe the moderators could move it to the proper thread? If not possible, could they delete it for me? It is off topic here.

Anyone remember the 1960's and 70's when the police were called "pigs" by the liberals?
