Here is what the domestic enemies are doing these days.
FOOLISH WEBSITE
The Republican National Committee has, for the first time in their 150 year history, selected New York for their Convention from August 29-September 4, 2004. In a shallow attempt at exploiting the lives lost at the World Trade Center, the RNC has pushed the Convention date to September. We have witnessed two unjust wars, at least one American life lost each day overseas, a depressed economy, the collapse of the dollar, $87 billion to boost war profiteering, the closing of our firehouses, a health-care crisis, millions of children being left behind, and now this. We say, Enough!
When the vote does not place in power those who represent the will of the people, democracy must be taken to the streets. This administration's choice of New York City, historically known for its diverse population, its welcoming of immigrants from far off lands, and its radical politics will prove to be their biggest mistake yet.

Remember when the RATS held their convention in NYC? The mayor of NYC relocated all of the homeless
BLOCKS away, so that the heroes of the downtrodden didn't have to smell the stench and associate with
them.
I wonder what the mayor will do this time? (Look for fuel for the liberal media/DNC???)
RUSH commented at that time that the RATS convention was pickpockets roaming the streets of NYC.

I am thinking that the RNC would have done better to have its convention in San Diego. Why? I rather like watching the commies have a stroke.

I hope it's a hundred degrees that week. LOL

They look like a bunch of terrorists!Emulating their heroes, no doubt.

It occurs to me that having the convention in September will reduce the crowds somewhat. Most colleges require students to report in that first week or so in September. If you don't, you are bumped from the classes and possibly your dorm.
Very shrewd, Mr. Rove.

I hope it's a hundred degrees that week. LOLFirst time I've ever said this, but so do I. It will give the idiots one more thing to rant about while they're passing out from heat exhaustion.

This is beginning to shape up as a Dem repeat of the '67 Chicago convention, except that the Dems rioting will be trying to disrupt the RNC instead of their own.
A poster just above commented that they hoped it was over a hubdred degrees in NY during the convention. Reminds me of a favorite story about the '84 RN Convention in Dallas. Lots of uninvited protesters showed up and the city of Dallas, in an unusual move, provided free lodging and showers to them in tents erected along the Trinity river (usually little more than a mud hole, for those of you who have never been there).
Anyway, they showed up (the northeastern liberal contingent) and made a startling discovery - Dallas in the dead of summer is downright HOT!! The temps were running in the low 100's (average 103 - 106 during the convention) with overnight lows in the low 90's. Well, the protesters thought that they deserved better because it was just too dang hot to create any mischief during the convention.
So, these assembled neurosurgeons and nuclear physicists filed suit in Federal court to force the city of Dallas to house them (still for free, mind you) in air-conditioned quarters down at Fair Park, home of the Texas State Fair (the best in America, I might unabashedly add). Well the suit ended up in the Federal court of a local hero by the name of Judge "Barefoot" Sanders.
Judge Sanders politely listened to the protesters make their case before telling them that they had NO case and throwing them out of his court. In a fit of rage, the protesters decided that they would show the city of Dallas a thing or two. On a day when the outside air temperature was 103 degrees, these assembled neurosurgeons and nuclear physicists decided that they would stop traffic in downtown Dallas by laying down in the street.
If you have ever been to Dallas, you will notice that most of the streets in the downtown area are macadam - blacktop. You might also notice that most of the dividing lines painted on the street aren't straight, they have lots of squiggles in them. That doesn't mean that the guy paining the lines on the street was drunk that day, it means that it gets so hot on those blacktop streets during the summer that the pavement warps.
Anyway, with an outside air temp of 103, these folks start laying down on the street to block traffic. In a rare move the Dallas Police did nothing, knowing that the problem would quickly resolve itself. Sure enough, after a couple of minutes laying on street that had to be somewhere in the range of 130 - 150 degrees, these folks quickly began to realize that they had converted themselves into human bacon!! They leaped up and returned to their tent city on the banks of the Trinity.
That night, they all packed up and went home. The RNC enjoyed one of the most peaceful conventions ever. Unfortunately, the RNC has never been back.

Just saw my first "No W" bumper sticker yesterday. I'm looking eagerly in my mail today for my Kerry/Fonda 2004 bumperstickers that Conspiratoristo sent out ;-).

The election this year will be ugly. I expect that there will be riots with casualties. The dims are soooooo nostalgic for 1968 that they can't wait to repeat it.

By any chance, are you up for a trip down here, to laugh at them?
Their big performance will be largely ignored and people will avoid them -- and not because they arrived from the Burrito Bar -- and will NOT make good footage for that dopey site.
They'll be screaming into the wind across a sixteen-acre void, and won't even make an echo.
Kind of like those dopes on Wall Street who were holding up long screeds on 8x11 sheets of paper across the street, as the politicians raced by?
I'm thinking of heading over there, just to laugh at them and see how long it takes for one (or more, if I'm lucky!) to inform me that I can't *possibly* know what it's like because I don't live here -- only for them to find out that I live a hell of a lot closer than do any of them. (Like that dessicated, enviro-wacko on Wall Street a year and a half ago. Remember her?)
To: NYC GOP Chick
If I'm still living in the city by then, I'll certainly join you for some spectatoring.
Yes, I remember the 8 1/2 x 11 microsigns. LOL

To: hellinahandcart
Argh! I just re-read it and realized that it's NOT this evening -- and here I was getting ready to walk over there tonight! :(
Yes, I remember the 8 1/2 x 11 microsigns. LOL
Remember the dried up hag who was hectoring me about the "environmental issues" and tried to tell me that I "don't get it" because I obviously don't live there? Well, it turned out that not only do I live here, but she doesn't! Ha!
To: NYC GOP Chick
Yes, who could forget that loudmouth?
To: Lancey Howard
These fools must be too young to remember Chicago in '68 - the worst thing they can do for their cause is push their protests to the point of casualties. That goes over real big with the average voter.

Yes, who could forget that loudmouth?I will never forget the look on her face when I'd finally had enough and not only informed her that I live blocks from the WTC site and haven't noticed any "enviromental evils," but read the driver's license around her neck and pointed out that she doesn't live here. More deflated than if some popped Pamela Anderson's fake boobs! :D
