Global warming, greenhouse gases, man is destroying the earth - so the story goes. In 1997 we were told we must comply with the United Nation’s Kyoto Treaty or we were doomed. Is global warming still being pawned on us to bring us into submission?
Fear Factor has nothing new on global, environmental non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and other alarmists who tell us Global Warming is going to cook us - and it is because of our hair spray, freon from air conditioning, our lawn mowers . . . and our power plants. Isn’t it clever how they know fear brings action, even if the fear is manufactured by false information?
Our power plants and factories have been targeted heavily. Alarmists seem to disregard the fact these plants were forced to clean up their emissions due to the Clean Air Act of the 70s and were amended in 1990 with further restrictions. It was a needed measure and by law, strict standards have to be met to comply with emission standards.
Are power plants and factories 100% pollution free? Probably not - but is the small percent a major threat to "global warming" ? Over 17,000 scientists nationwide are on written record as opposed to Global Warming. Climatologist Patrick J. Michaels told attendees of a Cato Institute luncheon there is nothing to global warming.
"The science is settled in a very non-alarmist way," but that fact will hardly satisfy anyone in Washington, he continued. Scientific data shows that any warming that occurs through the next 100 years will be on the low end of the scale and "people will adapt as long as their economies are free."
100,000 years ago C02 levels skyrocketed and your SUV and hair spray had nothing to do with it. It was nature simply behaving as intended. There is no clear scientific evidence that it is happening today.
Just what is the greenhouse effect? Scientists say it occurs naturally and makes the earth inhabitable. Greenhouse gases keep temperatures constant by trapping some of the heat generated by the sun’s rays. Greenhouse gases are comprised of 97% water vapor and the rest is methane, chlorofluorocarbons and carbon dioxide (C02). Only 1% of the Earth’s atmosphere is greenhouse gases with the remaining being 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen.
What then is the real agenda of the fear mongers? It appears to be the passion for a pre-Columbian world and redistribution of our wealth to third world nations that is behind their agenda. They do not believe it is fair that capitalist nations should have wealth and comfort while there are countries who do not share in our luxury.
To get the full impact of their agenda, disconnect your electric power for about a week. Do this in mid-winter or mid-summer to get the real effect of living with no refrigerators, air conditioners or heat. Continue with no micro-waves, computers, hot baths, hair dryers, vacuum sweepers, coffee pots, gas pumps and then you will be ready to search for the truth.
No one wants emissions that are polluting the air we breathe, but we need to reach a balance on just how much pollution is tolerable without putting further burdens on the already stressed electrical industry, driving our jobs out of the country and creating poverty in this nation. It has been proven that poverty stricken nations cause far more pollution than do economically blessed nations.
To replace the jobs lost, millions of dollars are being poured into "tourism grants" going to communities that can never recoup enough dollars to ever begin to offset the grants funded by the tax payers. In many areas, only a few restaurants and businesses actually benefit from the tourist trade and they provide at best a few part-time, minimum wage jobs that can never replace the jobs lost from timber, mining and industry.
View sheds and controls on private property related to "tourism" are put in place as we go further into the direction of paganistic earth worship and farther away from the God of our Creation who promised to provide the needs of His children.
At issue is the 1997 Kyoto accord, a treaty signed by the United States and 54 other nations. The agreement is designed to limit emissions by industrial nations of greenhouse gases, which many scientists believe causes global warming.The White House said the Bush administration would back out of the treaty given overwhelming opposition in the U.S. Congress - the Senate has rejected it 95-0. Bush said Kyoto regulations would be overly burdensome to U.S. industry at a time when businesses struggle against a slowing economy. [from a News Max article dated March 30, 2001]
The following statistics were predicted a few years ago if the Kyoto Treaty was ratified:
When you filled up your gas tank or paid your heating bills, did you notice anything? Have the prices increased - a lot? Are we implementing the treaty without legislative approval? It appears we could be.
Forced by unions to pay white collar wages for blue collar jobs, competition from cheaper selling imports and complying with extreme Environmental Protection Agency’s requirements have sent American jobs to other continents.
This brings us to the thought: "Could there more at stake here than global warming?"
The Kyoto Treaty would only affect developed nations and would be legally binding on those countries. On the other hand, 136 countries (undeveloped nations) would nave no emissions requirements and these are the countries where greenhouse gases are expected to increase more dramatically.
Where have our factories gone? To undeveloped nations.
With countries such as China, India, Mexico and other undeveloped nations having no emission limits, why would their pollution be less damaging to the atmosphere then emissions from the U.S. and the developed nations?
Mercury is in the vaccines we inject into our babies. When mercury is introduced directly into our body systems it can have serious effects. While monitoring does not appear to be in place in the vaccines we are forced to inject into our children, the alarmists are screaming at the effect it has coming from our U.S. power plants according to the Committee on Resources.
Committee on Resources in Week in Review dated Feb.. 20 said, ". . . U.S. Power Plants Emit Only 1% of Global Mercury. . "
The report went on to say:
It's true! Studies reveal that despite alarmist claims, reducing emissions from U.S. energy sources would have negligible, if any, effect on mercury levels in fish. In fact, global contributors dwarf mercury emissions from U.S. coal-fired power plants.Estimates show only 1% of total world emissions come from U.S. utilities, or about 45 tons annually. China, on the other hand, emits more than 495 tons annually, with an expected increase of 40+ tons over the next 2 to 5 years.
As we look at empty buildings and brown fields that once housed factories, the timber mills that have been forced to close, the jobs lost in the forced closing of coal mines, we have to ask - where did they go and why? These were the backbone of the U.S., the leading nation in production for decades. Will we become purely a service-oriented nation dependent upon imports for our needs?
What about outsourcing? How many times have you called for information about a product recently to find the person at the other end of the telephone was actually in India or some foreign country?
It is no secret the global plan is to redistribute the wealth of the developed nations to the undeveloped nations. Isn’t it time we began to investigate the real agenda behind job loss instead of fearfully believing all their propaganda?
Some of us may have been born at night - but it wasn’t last night.
As of 2002 (no information on 2003 changes, if any), there are now at minimum 43 required variational blends, which differ depending on jurisdiction and season of the year.
Not to fear fear mongers, you've got our useful idiots on your side. Who needs Kyoto to redistribute our wealth to third word nations when you've got FREE TRADE!!
Yes! Free trade sends our technology, manufacturing, and IT-enabled services off shore and then goes into debt to those countries by importing our own goods and services! Kinda neat, huh? Kinda Third Way stuff. Hillary loves ya! It's for the children, ya know.
