Very well said. I think if Pres. Bush speaks directly, and from his heart, about why we went into Iraq, even those who might disagree will give him the benefit of the doubt.

For too long, the Democrats have been able to set the terms of the debate.


He has done as you suggest but there are people who are insistent (for various reasons) not to give him the benefit of the doubt and never will. They are the ones who drag the undecideds over into the D column. I agree the D's set the terms...why aren't we savvy enough to break that streak and make it our own?

Well, I think he is too closely handled at times, and doesn't get to show who he really is. I think he needs to trust his own instincts a bit more, and Karl Rove's...a little less.

You are missing my point. He has said these things...though he says these things in front of Diane Sawyer and Meet the Press where his answer get washed over. Im talking oval office tv timeout. Explain his position and the fact just before American Idol where morons are waiting for Simon Cowell will get to hear Bush with the truths to the matter that I listed.
