MEL GIBSON: 'HAVING DOUBTS' ABOUT BUSH

Your title is unfair and casting false aspersions on Mr. Gibson attempting to make the assumption that Gibson does not support our President. Furthermore, you are taking his comments totally out of context especially since you/I have not yet seen the interview!

Well I liked his movie, but with this comment I am now having doubts about Mel Gibson.

Hey...I have doubts about Bush from time to time too, but I'm still gonna vote for him and I think he's doing a good job...

I'll have to listen and hear what he says.

Mel Gibson says he now has 'doubts' about President Bush and re-election

He's only saying what some on FR have said. He's probably paying too much attention to the polls which have been nothing more than push-polls for John Kerry up to this point.

Why is it important what some actor says? Not only is it too early in the election cycle to get a feel for which way things are going, this particular actor is riding the heady wave of extreme success. It's unlikely his feet will hit the ground any time soon. Just about anything he'll say for awhile won't mean anything to me, at least.

Too, all of us have our work cut out for us. We may not agree with many things Bush has done or has to offer. However, given Spain, Kerry, and a whole lot of other "stuff" going on, we MUST elect Bush for another 4 years, if only so we can either get our acts together and defeat the enemy or find somewhere to hide. That's not going to be easy, particularly since we've been on the defensive for so many years.

In a wide-ranging hour-long interview with FOXNEWSABCRADIO's Sean Hannity, PASSION OF THE CHRIST director Mel Gibson says he now has 'doubts' about President Bush and re-election... MORE... In the interview, set to air on Tuesday , Gibson says of Bush: 'I am having doubts, of late. It mainly has to do with the weapons [of mass destruction] claims'... MORE...

Words fail me but betrayal comes to mind ...

Both Mel and I are big Pat J Buchanan fans.
We're all pro-tariff, anti-war, and anti-immigration.
We're paleocons and we like it. We're all also incredibly good looking.

Go! Mel Go! Go! Me Go! Go! Pat Go!

Drudge spins the news a bit lately... I'll wait to see exactly what Gibson meant before forming any opinions.

So do you really think that all of Mel's friends in the red zone who like his movie will follow his advice and not vote for Bush (ie voting for Kerry) ??

I noticed Mel's interview with Diane Sawyer on Primetime Live and he said something like 'I'm going to disappear for awhile' and she asked how he would and he said 'you know how? I'll pitch a tent up next to the weapons of mass destruction and nobody will find me'. I thought that was an indication and interesting to read this. The stupidity of that thought. I'm sick of this being acted upon like Iraq and WMD were no concern whatsoever. Iraq was innocent all along and this administration just made it all up. It's astonishing, the stupidity and insincerity in those making the claims the administration just lied about this. Every intelligence service in the world, the UN itself, Demonrats, Clintoon's administration all claimed Iraq had and was continuing on with WMD. Mel Gibson is one of those now. Oh well, there's always Jimmy Stewart and John Wayne. I did like Mel, but this really doesn't sit well with me.

I missed the radio interview, and am waiting for the H&C repeat. I notice Drudge has removed all reference to this story. Did it turn out to be much ado about nothing, as expected?
