Hitchens definitely doesn't belong in the neocon camp. He's a big S socialist. He just happens to think Bush is doing the right thing on terrorism.

I agree...I just can't help but note that sometimes the mods are a bit overzealous about stuff like this.

Give me 5 minutes with Gibson and he'll change his mind. If he's not already here, Mel needs to discover FR!

Why does ANYONE care?Anyone who DOESN'T want to see traitor Kerry had better care. Mel Gibson and what he says right now will carry alot of weight with conservative voters.
I am one of Gibson's biggest fans, but he is making a BIG mistake by saying anything negative about President Bush right now. I hope this report is just being blown out of proportion.

Lots of people have Mels feelings... I believe Bush hasnt been explaining the WMD situation clearly enough and letting democrats "explain" it their way.
Bush SHOULD get on tv, clearly explain that WMD was believed to be there by EVERYONE including Mr Kerry and the former administration.
Explain that we had to take action after 9-11 because we knew nothing on where they were or if they are gone, WHERE they went and if any organizations that Saddam sypathized with would use them.
Explain the idea behind Iraq and it being a pivitol location for democracy to flourish and hopefully as a result, fester to Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt etc...
Detail the fact we knew before hand and explain why we had to act based on those facts (fact that are safe to be detailed).
I just think Bush has been ill prepared to answer these questions thus far that are, in my opinion, easy as pie to answer.

Why does anyone care? Because if you like it or not some people listen to 'movie stars'

I think sometimes it has to do with the reputation of the poster. If they know them they'll look at it differently then someone who joins and posts a scathing editorial on Bush or such.

So what? I too have doubs about President Bush, BUT, I have No doubts about what a president Kerry would do. When push comes to shove I will pull the handle for Bush--and I bet, Mel does the same in the end.

I remember reading that Gibson's production company financed Michael Moore's "Farenheit 9/11" (a documentary that blames America for spawning Muslim fanaticism), so none of this surprises me.

After making millions upon millions of dollars from likely Bush supporters, he turns on them?ROTFL. You're right, all good Christians are only Republicans and are the only ones seeing this film.
To: AngieGOP
Just because Gibson made a movie about Jesus Christ doesn't make Gibson a saint.Let's try this again.
Just because Bush was elected to President of the United States as a Republican doesn't make Bush a conservative.
As far as the Bush Bashers coming to Gibson's defense, what will be much more amusing to watch is the Cheerleaders who have called Gibson nothing short of God recently now turn on him like rabid dogs. That will be worth the price of admission alone.
To: sonsofliberty2000
I have doubts about Bush too, but in all likelihood I'll vote for him come November.
To: smith288
Wow. Good points. Let's hope President Bush takes your advice.
To: sonsofliberty2000
I think many a patriot is not happy with Bush...and Mel is definitely a "Patriot". ;-)
Fight and you may die. Run and you'll live. At least a while...and dying in your bed, many years from now, would you be willing, to trade, all the days from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here, and tell our enemies, that they may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom!!

Sean said he will air the full hour interview with Mel Gibson tomorrow, March 16 on his radio show (3-6pm ET). He didn't say exactly what time the interview would air.
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my FoxFan list. *Warning: This can be a high-volume ping list at times.

Hey Austin why do you look up a word before you use it! Do you know what NEOCON means? LOL! You are a typical clueless Liberal. I'll give you a hint since I am sure you were educated in a government school;
"Neo" means new. Therefore, you just called all these old conservatives( Hitchens, Safire, Sullivan, and Buckley) new conservatives. LOL! Learn a word before you use it!
