But what I can say is it doesn't mean flip of the amount of money spent or deficits or medicare or healthcare if you're dead.

I do not agree with the spending by Bush, but I'll be damned before I allow Kerry to assume the mantle (or mantel?) of President of the United States of America. Will my kids have a deficit to pay off? Maybe. Better to have to pay off a deficit than bury their brother/mother/father/mammaw/pampaw/friend (maybe plural?) because of terrorism.

I will work to elect more conservative Senators and Representatives, who pass the crap anyway.

He put it all on the line to make the "Passion" - I'd like to see Dubya put it all on the line and rescind the "Emergency War Powers Act" and restore the common law status of the Constitution, something that only one President has attempted since FDR started the nightmare in 1932.

In this nation we have what is known as a Constitutional Republic.

In that Constitutional Republic, Presidents are not Kings and do not get to repeal laws passed by a legislature elected by the people of the United States.

Definitely. I don't particularly like Hannity. Rush blows him away.

Hannity's interviews are awful, self promoting affairs. I've begun to turn him off with more frequency.

Very well said. I think if Pres. Bush speaks directly, and from his heart, about why we went into Iraq, even those who might disagree will give him the benefit of the doubt.

For too long, the Democrats have been able to set the terms of the debate.

"Give me 5 minutes with Gibson and he'll change his mind."

Is Mel no longer the little darling of FR?

IMHO, the damage is done. Within a moment of opening his show Sean was touting the Drudge Report and his showcasing the Mel Gibson interview.

When I checked out Drudge, I turned the radio off.

Hmmm... Interesting viewpoint. So, the only "good" Christians are those whose political beliefs are somewhere to the right of the US Democratic party. Which would exclude just about everyone in every other nation with a Christian majority.

Anyway, it is more interesting that one's Christianity can be adjudged "not good" based on political beliefs. Methinks you presume a bit too much.

Ever look into Mother Teresa's politics?

"I had heard that Gipson was anti-war. I guess this will give Hitchens, Safire, Sullivan, and Buckley and various other neo-cons yet another reason to hate him."

Buckley? Sullivan? They're Jewish?

President Bush, to steal a phrase of the enemy, can't we just move on?

Brokaw and Imus were pushing the idea on the radio this morning that President Bush should APOLOGISE to America. Apologize for what remains unclear but it was their not so humble opinion that this apology would redound to Dubyas credit.

It was eerily similar to the same yutzes proclaiming that agreeing to raise taxes after swearing not to would redound to his Dads credit.

They are so transparent and so unremittingly fos it is a wonder their heads don't explode from overload.

Pumping up ratings at the expense of our president at this perilous time.

But then, it always was about Sean, wasn't it?

Interesting point. I wonder if the pro-war boycott types will put the Passion on their "Hollyweird" hit list now.

Kerry's a socialist. I support President Bush and haven't even seen The Passion. It's a slow newsday so I'm in here to get insulted. RAOFLMAO

I believe I heard Norah O'Donnell say that Bush planned to address the nation on the anniversary of OIF and try to make OIF a big positive on Bush's resume in the minds of voters because it's not as of now. Maybe he'll cover the stuff smith288 and the Weekly Standard mentions.
