WE NEED TO BE WEAKER, NOT STRONGER!
INDECISIVE, NOT RESOLUTE!
VULNERABLE, NOT VIGILANT!
FRIGHTENED, NOT SAFE!
TERRORIZED, NOT SOVEREIGN!
SAD, NOT HAPPY!
TASTES GREAT, NOT LESS FILLING!

....It is clear that using force is not the answer to resolving the conflict with terrorists....
My mistake. Letting evil men blow your children into globs of bloody goo, no THAT'S a WINNING strategy!
You know if you urinate on yourself, big animals sometimes don't want to eat you and leave you be. I'm smelling a certain smell eminating from Spain right now.
I'm sorry for the Spanish citizens who were willing to stand up for freedom.

"You can't bomb a people just in case" they pose a perceived threat, Zapatero said in statements just five days before the first anniversary of the March 20 start of the war.So Spain's new "leader" officially reveals his new philosophy for his people on dealing with Islamo-terrorism:
HIDE UNDER YOUR BED AND WAIT FOR THE INEVITABLE SLAUGHTER
To: txzman
Do they not remember Neville Chamberlain? They sure do.
They think he was right.

"It is clear that using force is not the answer to resolving the conflict with terrorists," So Spain is not going to "force" the bombers into jail, that's "not the answer to resolving the conflict with terrorists".

"The loss of the United States' and Britain's main ally has left Bush especially looking exposed as he faces the November presidential election."
this turn of events in Spain bodes very badly for Bush. DEMS and media will say he is increasingly isolated in the world. It increases the likelihood Bush loses in Nov

Why bother electing people that share your ideas to change a country when you can just blow up people on election day and see it happen over night?

Not everyone wants to be a hero. The Norwegians did just fine under Vidkun Quisling during World War II.

His attitude makes WWII more understandable. Just give up your allies for appeasement. Just go to the slaughter like a lamb and by all means never fight back.

Was Stahl on a recent Matthews show? I'd like to get a transcript...."we've got our power back from Bush" ???
What does that mean? Why would she believe she was entitled to the same power as our CIC? These are not serious people.

My profound sympathies to the people of Great Britain, Italy and the Netherlands -- the terrorists will target you next to influence your elections and try to turn you into socialist appeasers. After all...it worked in Spain.

I ckd my posts, and it looks like she was on 2/19/04. (Ingram plays quotes from Stahl on that Chrissy show)
I posted on 2/20 and quoted her as saying, "there is only so much power to go around, and the press has the power back from Bush for the first time since the events of 9/11".
The transcripts would have to be ordered.
But, my point is clear, the elite media runs this country, and has for the last 40 years.
The elites have Hollywood in charge of our culture and academia in charge of our youth.
The media could not control 9/11, but as soon as the flags came out and the American people showed some guts and instincts, the media has been working on putting out those fires ever since.
They are now sending us back to a time when we were weak, unsure of ourselves, cynical, conspirazoid, unfaithful, and afraid.
For THAT is the way they control what we say, what we think, and for whom we vote.

I think that the majority of Americans prefer a strong stance on terror, a leader who is decisive and won't back down regardless of criticism or in the face of a terrorist attack.
