To all, I just wanted to say: Thanks for the kind words.

A few friends at Hollywood Republicans, and a few guests at the comedy event in Brea pointed me here. I am grateful.

Welcome to FR, Steve! Loved the show, although now I'm going to have to stay up late on Sunday to watch it (I get up at 5:30 to go to work). I thought it was hilarious and pretty evenhanded - for all the conservative points of view you presented, you also covered Driving While Black ("Do you realize just how black you were going?" - a classic, I've gotta run that one by my former co-worker, we often talked about that subject) - and skewed Fox News far better than the ol' buck-toother moron Al Franken could ever envision.

I read the Hollywood Reporter article - it's pretty impressive what you're trying to accomplish with the production schedule:

It isn't enough that the conservative right controls our radio talk shows. Now it wants to preside over our cartoons too. This, anyway, is what one might take away from "This Just In," a wild, take-no-prisoners and defiantly politically skewed animated satire from the guy channel Spike TV that aims to be written and produced the very week it airs (thanks to a digital Flash Animation technique) to provide for maximum timeliness. In fact, the tape I screened is expected to feature some updated jokes and material from the version delivered. Indeed, there are one-too-many Howard Dean quips in the premiere and far-too-many easy slams to poor Teddy Kennedy's hide. But bleeding-heart liberal though I am, I can't say I didn't laugh.

I never thought I'd see "poor" and "Ted Kennedy" adjacent to each other. And, liberals being liberals, the reviewer just didn't find the bridge as funny as I did:

Then there is the Kennedy subplot. Kennedy literally falls out of an airplane and through the bar's roof just in time for a St. Patrick's Day binge of booze and crawling around on the floor alternately searching for a lost Beer Nut and falling asleep. It's ridiculously cruel and not terribly funny. That proves even more true later on when Marmel and company conduct the cartoon world's first-ever re-creation of Chappaquiddick -- this time with Newport in the car. Kennedy: "You know, the last time this happened, you were a lot prettier." Classy stuff.

Liberals just don't have a sense of humor any more.

Once again, nice work, I'll be giving the show as much word-of-mouth as possible. Be sure to spend a bit of time lurking here, FR both is an excellent source for news and also is a good barometer of conservative attitudes towards news stories. And could you please, please, PLEASE work John Kerry's snowboard face plant into an episode, since the cameras didnt' catch it?

Thanks for stopping by.

I enjoyed that you mixed historical liberal problems (Ted Kennedy / Chappaquiddick) with contemporaneous ones. Addressing current events must be a production challenge.

I'm looking forward to tonight's episode, and hope someday soon to see JF'nK and Hillary get the skewering they so richly deserve. As someone else suggested I'd love to see the "I don't fall" episode, the calling of a Secret Service agent an SOB, and the Foreign leaders support me (I won't say who) - oops that doesn't play well. Watch this flip-flop. What I meant was I don't want foreign leaders endorsements. But then, with him there is SO much potential I'm sure you'll have a difficult time choosing.

May This Just In have a long and prosperous run for you.

Another great show! "We shouldn't pull out of Iraq. Pulling out early is what got Clinton in all that trouble" (sorry if that's not quite right).

You really nailed the women's networks, too. Watch out for those squeelin' squirrels.
