I saw that too.
Thomas Lipscomb wrote an expose in the New York Sun about Kerry.
He says that the Vietnam Veterans who support Kerry today, were the ones, who were members of the Vietnam Veterans Against the Vietnam War.
Lipscomb wrote an earlier article about Kerry, which was picked up by other sites,
Setting Straight Kerrys War Record
http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=12386 "[T]he fabled and distinguished chief of naval operations,Admiral Elmo Zumwalt, told me 30 years ago when he was still CNO that during his own command of U.S. naval forces in Vietnam, just prior to his anointment as CNO, young Kerry had created great problems for him and the other top brass,by killing so many non-combatant civilians and going after other non-military targets. We had virtually to straitjacket him to keep him under control, the admiral said. Bud Zumwalt got it right when he assessed Kerry as having large ambitions but promised that his career in Vietnam would haunt him if he were ever on the national stage. And this statement was made despite the fact Zumwalt had personally pinned a Silver Star on Mr. Kerry.
By his own admission during those four months, Mr. Kerry continually kept ramming his Swiftboat onto an enemy-held shore on assorted occasions alone and with a few men, killing civilians and even a wounded enemy soldier. One can begin to appreciate Zumwalts problem with Mr. Kerry as commander of an unarmored craft dependent upon speed of maneuver to keep it and its crew from being shot to pieces."
But apparently the current article is much more damning. I am not a subscriber of the NY Sun, so couldn't view it. I wish I had taped the Fox interview with Liscomb -- I was only half paying attention and realized too late the explosive revelations.

You do realize, don't you, that if Kerry gets dumped, we're gonna get stuck with Hillary? Not that I wouldn't like to see him go down, mind you. He certainly deserves to, lying, elitist traitor that he is.

AND....I don't believe Lipscomb is someone who's necessarily a friend of the right, making this all that much more interesting.
But recall the radicalism of the 60's and early 70's before Nixon ended the war. Every rabid nut-rod involved in some screwy plot to overthrow the government was making speeches and headlines. Abbey Hoffman advocated that young people KILL anyone over 30, I seem to recall (maybe his book title??).....correct me if I'm wrong.
The problem is that all the anti-war, left wingers have morphed themselves into mainstream society and government...(after all that's where the $$ is....I don't recall many "head shop" owners becoming multi-millionaires). And people like Kerry, Clinton and Hillary el al, figure they can deflect any criticism from those of us who were disgusted by them THEN and are disgusted by them NOW!!
Anyone 45+ (maybe even a little older) who was paying attention to that political climate back then, won't be surprised if this story pans out about Kerry's attendance at meetings where this was discussed. Rush has said this over and over on his show, that's what makes these people so dangerous is their mentality for the direction of the country hasn't changed but their appearance, over the years, has......haven't we ALL??
What will REALLY be fun is to watch Kerry tap dance if this starts to unfold in the mainstream media and other credibles show up with corroborating stories...and I hope to God they DO!!!

You saw correctly. The story was, according to either two or three witnesses, that Kerry attended a meeting of VVAW and others at which the assassination of seven pro-war Senators was discussed and voted on. Kerry opposed the motion, which was voted down.
The Kerry camp claims that he "resigned" from the group two days before this subject was discussed, but can produce no letter of resignation. The person at that meeting who most vigorously supported the assassination plan is now an assistant to Kerry in his campaign.
You would think that a current Senator who had previously been involved in discussing whether Senators (then) should be assassinations, would have reported the event at some time, and sought distance from that idea. Oh, but the current Senator is John Kerry.
Ne-VER-mind.

At a minimum, Kerry was a leader in this organization which debated whether to assassinate Senators. If someone assassinates Bush, I'll suspect Kerry.

The story also says that Kerry resigned when that happened, however, why didn't he report it to authorities?
Anyone making those kinds of noises around me, no matter who or how long I've known them, are going to make new friends with badges real quick. Thought the left makes commenst that the right is violent, look who actually kills people. Oswald was a leftie, Sirhan Sirhan wasn't a Republican or a conservative. What's up with the wacko left?
