Because - they don't want everyone to hear about it until it is something substantial (this is my guess/) One small city in Northern Iran is unfrotunately not anythign the media wants to cover/regardless of how important it is.. However - if this weekend uprisings are massive there will be coverage!!!! LETS HOPE AND PRAY!!!!

Real question is, is why is the Bush administraitoon silent. What are we doing to push the mullahs over the cliff? Would President Kerry send troops to Iran to help put down the demonstrators

Real question is, is why is the Bush administraitoon silent. What are we doing to push the mullahs over the cliff? If Bush opens his mouth, the Mullahs will then proclaim the rebellion is being sponsored by the CIA. The best thing that Bush can do, is to not comment, and let things happen.
And meanwhile ensure that there are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable men on the scene that can show the Iranians how to overthrow the mullahs, and where to find lots of caches of AK's and ammo at the crucial moment
