Full text of Al Qaeda claim for Madrid blasts

MADRID (Reuters) - Following is the text of a videotaped statement, purportedly from the Islamic militant al Qaeda group, claiming responsibility for the Madrid bombings.

Two hundred people were killed and nearly 1,500 hurt when 10 bombs exploded in four packed commuter trains during the Thursday morning rush-hour.

The text is taken from the Interior Ministry's Spanish translation from Arabic.

"We declare our responsibility for what happened in Madrid exactly two and a half years after the attacks on New York and Washington. It is a response for your collaboration with the criminals Bush and his allies. This is how to respond to the crimes you have caused in the world and specifically in Iraq and Afghanistan and there will be more, God willing. You love life and we love death which is an example of what the Prophet Mohammad said. If you don't stop your injustices there will be more and more threats and these attacks are small compared with what will happen with what you call terrorism. This is a warning from the military spokesman of al Qaeda in Europe. Abu Duham al Afgani.

But wait . . . but wait . . . I thought Iraq had nothing to do with alQaeda. Isn't that what the libs have been spouting for two years? If this letter is authentic, then it would seem that our invasion and liberation of Iraq is much more relevant to binLaden et al than the press/libs/Dems/Teddy/Kerry/Dean/Gore etc have been claiming. According to the MEMRI analysts, genuine al Qaeda never bargain. This was also not written in the Islamist style with koranic verses and messages about the conduct of the Prophet etc., etc. Anyway, whatever. Maybe al Qaeda's been thinned to its third or fourth string and no one can remember why they do what they do anymore, much less write about it.

I believe that if indeed, there IS freedom of religion, then all Muslims should be killed, then.

Is this not totally logical?

If any Muslims disagree, they should make their position clear.
