Socialists would rather cave than prevent further bloodshed. In some ways they deserve what they are going to get (once Islam finishes their take over of Europe. Islam will do far more to destroy Europe than Hitler ever contemplated.

Sen. Kerry thinks the Bush administration are ''crooked'' and ''lying.'' The Bush ''lie'' boils down to this: The president believes there's a war on. The Dems think 9/11 is like the 1998 ice storm or a Florida hurricane -- just one of those things. And they think Bush is ''lying'' by insisting on playing it as a war.

Bingo!

Anyone who took the war seriously can certainly find fault with the administration. But not if you stand there like a 5-year-old boy and never get beyond pointing your fingers and sticking your tongue out: ''Ooh, Bush lied. And Ashcroft's a big bully. And Cheney's stealing it all for his oil buddies. And you shouldn't mention the war in your campaign ads, because it's not fair. Nyaa-nyaa!''

Was it your error OR did the newspaper headline also contain a gramatical error? Should have been "aide's" not "aides'" since there was only one aide who had the treacherous kin.

Not only are they democrats, they are awfully stupid. I briefly tuned in this morning and heard the female ask the stupidest questions. I had to turn away.

Notice the elegance and power of this sentence. When you see it fast there is the emotional response that the Democrats are responsible for the 200 people dying in Madrid. However, all it really says is that the 200 died on account of the war---- not because the Democrats refuse to admit that the war exists. It is a rhetorical juxtaposition that carries a meaning more than it actually says. I am just marveling about this. Steyn had to consciously seek this goal. He must really work on his columns.

There is a war, and these people died because we haven't won that war yet, and one of the reasons we haven't yet won it is because democrats and socialists refuse to acknowledge there even IS a war.

The democrats think it's a law and order thing. Hundreds, and even thousands, more will have to die before they get their heads out of their posteriors and figure out that we either fight this war, or we die.
