MADRID (Reuters) - A video tape purportedly from al Qaeda said the Islamic militant group bombed Madrid trains in retaliation for Spain's cooperation with President Bush and his allies.
A transcript of the video taped statement was released early on Sunday by Spain's Interior Ministry. "If you don't stop your injustices more blood will flow and these attacks are very little compared with what may happen with what you call terrorism," it said.
Interior Minister Angel Acebes said Spain was examining the tape's reliability and said it should be treated with caution. (Reporting by Adrian Croft; editing by Diana Abdallah; madrid.newsroom@reuters.com; Reuters Messaging: daniel.trotta.reuters.com@reuters.net; +34 91 585 8295))
