In reference to being drafted by the states, here is a basic synopsis of how it works:

Some states, like Virginia, allow the Governor to draft for state military service. The draft can be specialized skills, or just plain infantry, depending on the need.

The state can then use the troops to augment their state defense force if the National Guard is away( 32 USC 109) or they can make the troops available to the Federal Government in an extreme emergency upon request of Congress or the President.

The last time this system was used was in the Spanish American war.

That's the kind of thing that makes me nervous when things like the emergency drill at Shea Stadium are announced in print or on air. Might as well send a telegram to the terrorists inviting them over for a few peanuts and cracker jacks while you're at it.

Does anyone recall this site, it should have info on the tires...it is really too big for my computer, but I did stay there long enough to learn that the "Emirates have now launched a new service to Melbourne, Australia.

They are to start flying into America this spring.
