"The bombers wanted to see where passengers were evacuated to when the alarms sounded. 'We believe they want to know the locations where people would wait for the station to reopen, so they could put bombs or a suicide bomber in the deadliest place,'"
That's the kind of thing that makes me nervous when things like the emergency drill at Shea Stadium are announced in print or on air. Might as well send a telegram to the terrorists inviting them over for a few peanuts and cracker jacks while you're at it.
I've spent about a month trying to read everything on all 4 threads before joining in so I'm not familiar with posting. Why do I have the phrase "Loose lips sink ships" in red type just beneath the Word Wrap button?

It is a military thing. A Warning not to give away troop locations and strategy that is not in the mainstream press.
They had posters that said that back in the World War I believe.

Welcome Teri,
We all have the Loose Lips slogan, it is a warning to please not post any thing that will help the enemy.
That was a number #1 slogan in WW2.
You will do just fine with posting, and you are correct, tea and cookies for the terrorists, while we show them where to release the next stage.

Welcome aboard! Wow, even I haven't read all of all four threads & I've been following this since November.
I know what you mean about inviting the enemy to watch how we prepare for an attack. On the other hand, if the media weren't notified that such actions were just drills, we'd have panic in the streets & outraged cries of cover-ups when word leaked out. Some people are too busy to waste time on thinking and unfortunately we have to keep them placated.
