WASHINGTON (CNN) -- This week's deadly train bombings in Spain will not lead to a rise in the U.S. color-coded terror threat alert system, a Department of Homeland Security spokesman said Friday.

"Based on the current intelligence, we have no specific indicators that terrorist groups are considering such an attack in the U.S. in the near term," said department spokesman Brian Roehrkasse.

On Thursday the U.S. Senate finally passed the Unborn Victims of Violence Act, which makes it a federal crime to injure or kill a fetus while committing a violent federal crime against a pregnant woman. What a PC bag of excrement. Can someone tell me how many violent federal crimes occur each year [or ever have occurred] against pregnant women? This is nothing more than show. Someone called in today [a passenger at the LAX terminal] and said there was a bomb threat. We, as agents for the airline in the res office, were never even notified, making us look pretty stupid...but neither did I see it in the news...
